According to the latest news, the new car will be named "CROWN KLUGER".

A few days ago, an internal press release about FAW-Toyota was exposed, which mentioned that in addition to stabilizing the existing 1 million sales, accelerating the goal of 50% electrification, and achieving the goal of the new three years, it was also mentioned that its company would launch a number of models this year to support the realization of FAW-Toyota's goal.

Specifically, the new models include Toyota CROWN KLUGER, Yize HEV, Rongfang PHEV, and ALLOIN, among which ALLOIN is the extended version of the Corolla that has been unveiled at Guangzhou Motor Show, while Yize HEV and Rongfang PHEV are modified electric hybrid models, and only CROWN KLUGER is a brand new model.

The codename (770B) model named "CROWN KLUGER" translates literally as "Crown-Halanda", which also indicates that the 770B will be a sister version of the new Halanda. However, as Hanlan's name has been used by GAC Toyota, the Chinese name of 770B will be "Crown-Lu Fang". It is also known according to the previously exposed product roadmap.

In addition, according to the Trademark Office, Toyota registered two new trademarks, CROWNV ELLFIRE and CROWN KLUGER, in China as early as last year, which literally means "Crown-will method" and "Crown-Hanlanda".

Since Toyota made the Crown domestically, as the representative of high-end models, the price of domestic models has even reached the level of 500000 yuan. However, due to the changes in the consumer market environment in the Chinese market, Toyota Crown has been unable to find the original market positioning, thus gradually withdrawing from the market. If the new product is named after the "crown", it can not only enhance the popularity of the model, but also increase the product positioning. When the model is put on the market, it can also make up for the gap in the medium-sized seven-seat SUV field after FAW Toyota stopped producing Prado.

Due to the "two-car strategy", "CROWN KLUGER" will be a medium-sized SUV model based on TNGA architecture, which will be transformed into Toyota Hanlanda model. It is expected that the new car will not change much in terms of configuration, size and power on the front face, and will only be distinguished from the brand-new Hanlanda in appearance. In terms of power, Toyota's new generation of TNGA models focus on hybrid systems, and Lufang is expected to focus on 2.5L hybrid systems as well.

According to the previous EIA information, the planned annual production capacity of Crown-Lufang is about 50,000 vehicles, and the average monthly target sales may be about 4,000 vehicles, which is similar to that of Anke Banner and explorers. Together with GAC Toyota's production capacity of 90, 000 vehicles, the total production capacity of the car in China will reach 140000.
