With the gradual electrification of traditional models, the fake-free spy photos of Audi's latest e-tron GT electric sports car driven by Iron Man have also been exposed and are expected to be officially released on February 9.

The official release of "couplet 4" will be in 2019, which means that Audi's e-tron GT concept model was exposed earlier. Although it is only a concept model, but judging from the recent exposure of non-spyware photos, the overall design of the model has been perfectly preserved, very similar to the Taycan of the Porsche four-door sports car. This is also because the car is based on the J1 high-performance pure electric platform jointly developed by Audi and Porsche and is a brother model to the Porsche Taycan.

Externally, the front face of the new car retains the Audi family's hexagonal mouth style, the interior net adopts a closed design, and the narrow headlights on both sides use the latest LED and laser technology, with the exaggerated aerodynamic kit of the bumper to enhance the visual impact of the whole car.

As the car is the flagship of Audi Sports, the new car has a length, width and height of 4.96 meters, 1.96 meters and 1.38 meters, with a wheelbase of 2.9 meters.

Compared with the appearance, the interior design is not so outstanding, directly inheriting the scientific and technological sense brought by the concept car, using family-style design, somewhat similar to the new A3.

In terms of power, the ordinary version uses a dual-motor four-wheel drive system with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.5 seconds, while the RS version is further upgraded to a three-motor system with a maximum power of 710 horsepower (522kW) and a 0-96km/h acceleration time of 2.88 seconds.

The car will debut on February 9, 2021, and delivery is expected to begin in the United States in the second half of 2021. It remains to be seen when it will be available in China. It is worth noting that on January 18 this year, China FAW Group, Changchun Municipal Government and Germany Audi signed a tripartite agreement to formally announce that FAW Audi PPE New Energy Company has officially settled in Changchun. The new joint venture is 60 per cent owned by Audi and Volkswagen and 40 per cent by FAW.

According to the Audi electric vehicle project, Audi has joined hands with FAW to produce new energy vehicles including Audi e-tron domestic version, Audi Q2L e-tron and Audi A6L TFSI e. By 2021, Audi will work with China FAW to build localized models to 12 models. By 2024, Audi, together with FAW of China, will begin to produce the first electric model based on PPE platform. Audi plans to increase its sales of electric models in China to about 1/3 of total sales by 2025, which means that the Audi e-tron GT may also become a domestic Audi supercar in the future.
