In response to this matter, the media contacted the legal representative of the 4S store, which said that because the actual operators could not be contacted so far, some shareholders had reported to the police. At the same time, the legal representative also mentioned that he believed that the incident had involved a criminal case and that there might be a personal dispute, for which he would be willing to be responsible for the incident of the consumers involved.

In addition, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen also said that it has intervened and has commissioned another 4S store of "Jun Lion" to be responsible for the matters related to the pick-up and refund of deposit by the consumers involved.

According to the latest statistics from the China Automobile Association, the annual sales of passenger cars in 2020 were 20.178 million, of which the proportion of French brands fell again, from 0.9% in 2019 to 0.3%. This shows that French brands have shrunk quite sharply in the Chinese market. According to the data, the cumulative sales of DPCA in 2020 was 50267, down 55.74% from the same period last year, and sales halved again.
