Geely KX11 is Geely Automobile plans to launch a new medium-sized SUV model this year, which is the third model based on CMA platform after Xingyue and Xingrui. It will debut at the Shanghai International Auto Show in April and is expected to launch in the first half of the year at the earliest.

According to the declaration information released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology a few days ago, the front face of Geely KX11 is basically consistent with the previously published official map, the new car uses the latest family design language, the shield intake grille uses a straight waterfall type medium net, and both sides of the LED headlights are connected with the intake grille to form an integrated front face. It is worth mentioning that the car uses a blackened Geely logo to increase front face recognition.

According to the declaration information, the appearance of the car provides a variety of options, including different styles of aluminum alloy wheels, front camera, front and rear radar, panoramic skylight, etc., to meet the needs of consumers. In terms of size, Geely KX11's length, width and height are 4770/1895/1689mm, wheelbase is 2845mm, its length, width and height is higher than Mercedes-Benz GLCs, Audi Q5L and other medium-sized SUV models, but the wheelbase is slightly shorter, officially positioned as a big five-seat SUV.

According to the previously announced interior layout, Geely KX11 also adopted a new layout, with a triple screen design composed of LCD dashboard, central control screen and co-pilot screen, while the three-spoke multi-function flat-bottomed steering wheel and aircraft-style block continue the family-style design.

As a new model based on CMA platform, KX11 will be equipped with 2.0T engine produced by Zhejiang Geely Powertrain Co., Ltd., offering high and low power versions for consumers to choose from, with maximum power of 175kw and 160kw respectively. In terms of transmission system, it is matched by a 7-speed double clutch gearbox.

As a new model based on the CMA architecture, the KX11 is expected to be powered by a Volvo Drive-E 2.0TD engine with a maximum power of 190hp and a peak torque of 300Nm, matching an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. In addition, for volume Geely KX11 may launch 1.5T entry-level models.

On November 1, 2020, Geely Xingrui officially launched. Xingrui is the first compact car based on CMA architecture, which has made a big breakthrough in appearance and interior decoration. In appearance, the interior of the star shield front grille uses a straight waterfall middle net, with a sharp headlamp group design, which is very similar to Geely KX11. As for the interior, Xingrui uses a 12.3-inch LCD instrument and a 12.3-inch suspended central control screen, and cancels a large number of physical buttons, the overall layout is relatively simple. In terms of power, Geely Xingrui is equipped with 2.0T engine, the maximum power is 140kW, the maximum torque is 300N ·m, and the transmission system matches the 7-speed wet double clutch gearbox.

Data show that Geely car sales in 2020 totaled 1320217 vehicles, down 3% from the same period last year, successfully achieving the adjusted annual sales target of 1.32 million vehicles. Among them, Geely Xingrui, which went public on November 1, sold a total of 19094 vehicles, with an average monthly sales of about 9500 vehicles.

From the available information of Geely KX11, it has certain advantages in appearance, space performance, power performance and so on. If the price is properly defined, it is not impossible for Geely to become another best-selling model. It is understood that Geely KX11 will make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April and will be officially listed this year.
