Recently, loose SS DOLPHIN officially went offline in the BYD plant. It is reported that the new car is manufactured by BYD and is positioned as a retro plug-in hybrid sports car. According to BYD's reply, the new car may be named Dolphin, which coincides with the previous BYD high-end project model.

At the same time, according to the previous official positioning, the price of the model has been publicly priced at 598000 yuan. This is more than twice the price of BYD Tang and BYD Han models, which are currently the most expensive models owned by BYD, which undoubtedly makes netizens speculate that it may be the high-end model that BYD will launch.

However, for this model, some media verified with BYD officials that the car was not a landing project for BYD's high-end brand.

In fact, although the SS DOLPHIN model is printed with BYD's LOGO, it is not manufactured by BYD. It is only manufactured by BYD cars. The new car really comes from a company called loose locomotives. It is understood that BYD and loose locomotives are two independent companies, and SS DOLPHIN is the first new energy model developed by the two companies in depth, which adopts BYD qualification and is also produced by BYD's Xi'an factory. In addition, SS DOLPHIN is not a simple contract manufacturing relationship, new car after-sale quality assurance has been fully guaranteed by BYD.
