In view of the above defects, Beijing Hyundai Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the fuse in the safety box for the vehicles within the recall scope, and upgrade the ECU software for the vehicles equipped with ESC (Electronic Stability Controller body Electronic Stability Control system) and EPB (Electrical Park Brake Electronic parking Brake system) functions within the recall scope. After the replacement of the fuse in the safety box, if the subsequent HECU internal short circuit leads to the fuse problem, regardless of the service life and mileage of the vehicle, Beijing Hyundai will replace the HECU for customers free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

As a model that sells only more than 3000 vehicles a month, the recall of 425200 vehicles is almost all the sales of Tusheng in the past decade. It is worth mentioning that Hyundai Tusheng has recalled many times in China, and the scale of each recall is not small.

Beijing Hyundai recalled a total of 98684 new Tusheng models made between September 5, 2015 and May 31, 2016 on September 30, 2016. The reason for the recall is that when the vehicle continues to drive for a short distance in a low temperature environment, the engine oil level will increase, and the engine fault indicator may be lit when the oil level rises to a certain extent. if the vehicle continues to run in this state, it may cause engine damage. On August 8, 2019, Beijing Hyundai recalled the above batches of models, and the recall batches, reasons and number of recalls were the same.

As a compact SUV under Beijing Hyundai, Hyundai Tusheng introduced domestic production in June 2005 and has completed four iterative updates. Previously, Beijing Hyundai Tusheng is a hot-selling model, but after many product problems have been exposed, especially the 1.6T model, there is an increase in oil, resulting in a sharp decline in sales of Tusheng, gradually marginalized by the market.

Figures show that Hyundai Tusheng in Beijing sold 31357 vehicles in 2020, with an average monthly sales of less than 3000. In December, a stronger month, Hyundai Tusheng in Beijing sold just 3751 vehicles, down 35.54 per cent from a year earlier.
