At a recent media communication meeting, Liu Yu, chairman of BAIC New Energy, said that BAIC Langu, a state-owned enterprise, should learn from private enterprises and the new power of car-making, focus on the C-end market and focus on customers.

In terms of products, BAIC New Energy launched its first high-end model, ARCFOX α T, in October last year, with a guiding price of 24.19-319900 yuan, which is in the middle and high end of electric vehicle products. BAIC New Energy may launch more products in 2021. The Huawei version of BAIC New Energy's partnership with Huawei will be launched in April 2021 and will go on sale in November. Under the IMC framework, two models, α T and α S, will be launched on the BE21 platform, of which α S is the first car under the polar fox brand. ARCFOX will expand to 60 stores across the country, adopting a direct marketing and distribution model, with an annual plan of 12000 vehicles.

BAIC New Energy originally established market barriers by running volume, grabbing market share and establishing scale advantages. However, with the maturity of the market and consumers, this approach has been eliminated. At present, BAIC New Energy needs to break through the barriers of the C-end market, and it is an important problem that BAIC New Energy faces how to stand out among NIO, BYD, Tesla and other brand models.
