DS, as a high-end brand of PSA Group, has entered China since 2012, while the DS 4 has been one of the first models to enter China for nearly nine years, during which it has been discontinued. Today, this model has finally been replaced, but it remains to be seen when it will enter China.

After a decade of this model, the model has finally ushered in a replacement, and the new official map has also been released. The whole car has undergone a comprehensive change, not to continue any details of the old model, but to adopt a new family design. It is reported that the new DS 4 is expected to make its official debut in mid-February and is scheduled to be launched in some European countries in October this year. The main competitors include the BMW 1-Series, Mercedes-Benz A-Class and Audi A3.

The new car will divide the new generation of DS 4 into three versions: the regular version, the higher chassis CROSS version and the more sporty Performance Line version. In appearance, the new car adopts the latest design style of DS, and the design and shape of the headlight group is very feature. the chrome decoration can be seen everywhere, combined with diamond-cut matrix LED headlamps and a pair of large "L"-shaped daily lamps to fully create avant-garde and exquisite texture.

In terms of power, the DS4 has an optional gasoline engine of 130hp, 180hp and 225hp, as well as a 130hp diesel engine and a plug-in system. Among them, the motor power of the plug-in system is 110 horsepower, the comprehensive power is 225 horsepower, and the pure electric range is 50 kilometers.

When DS 4 entered China, it was sold as an imported model and showed up as a compact car, but its high terminal price has always performed poorly in the domestic market because of its import method. From 2012 to 2017, there was a mid-term change, but the overall change was not big, only in the details, including the family design of the front face, and the model has not been sold in China since the mid-term change.

At present, DS has been made in China, but its performance in China is still not optimistic, which makes the brand accelerate its layout in the Chinese market. It is not known whether or when the new DS 4 will enter China again. According to data, the cumulative sales of the DS brand in China in 2019 was 2110 vehicles, down 46.6 per cent from the same period last year. Sales in 2020 were 424, down another 79.90% from 2019.
