Although the Model Y is one lap larger than the Model 3 overall and offers a seven-seat version, it can seat at least seven people. But recently, some netizens have exposed the ride experience of the seven-seat version of the Model Y model, which really appears to be some "chicken ribs", which makes people laugh or cry.

According to the exposed pictures, the two adult men looked very cramped after sitting near the third row of Model Y. At the same time, from the point of view of the open rear door, the head even exceeds the height of the car body, which means that the rear door will not be closed, and members will have to keep their heads down if they want to close the door, guessing that the ride effect is very difficult. This is also due to the fact that Model Y uses a slippery roof design.

Although this situation occurred in overseas markets, the domestic market has not yet listed seven versions, but it is believed that with the domestic listing of seven versions will also suffer similar problems.

From the previous exposure of Model Y images, the second and third row of space is almost only one punch away, and from the second row of space, it can be said to be very cramped. Although Tesla officially said it was an optional configuration and could accommodate up to seven adults. The second and third rows can be folded and flattened separately to provide storage space for items such as sleds, furniture, suitcases and so on. As we all know, Model Y is actually based on Model 3, sharing as many as 75% of the parts with Model 3, so the two models are similar. But in terms of appearance, Model Y is larger than Model 3 as a whole. After all, Model Y and Model 3 are positioned differently, and it is expected that they are larger, taller and wider in size. According to Tesla, although ModelY and Model 3 are similar, they are about 10 per cent more in terms of body size, energy use and price.

In any case, the domestic market has successfully launched and delivered a small number of domestic Model Y models, and the market performance also shows that the launch of Model Y models has further diverted Model 3 sales. Data show that domestic Model 3 models fell 42% month-on-month in January to 13843 vehicles. So is Model Y, which is more cost-effective than Model 3, worth an increase of tens of thousands to choose a seven-seat version?
