Recently, a group of patent pictures of Honda's brand new hatchback models were exposed by the State Patent Office.

Although it is not known what the new model will be named, from the patent map exposed, the car is the continuation of the Honda CITY Hatchback model, which was first launched in Southeast Asia, that is, the domestic model model.

In terms of appearance, combined with the previously announced overseas version of the model, we can see that the new car uses the latest family design, which is similar to the Accord Civic design, and the intake grille uses a honeycomb design with more sports features. at the same time, the new car's LED daytime driving lights will use a combination of multiple light belts, coupled with smoked strips and unique decorations at fog lights, making the whole front more dynamic.

From the side, the new car is no longer a positioning hatchback model, but a serious hatchback design, coupled with the family's latest design language, looks like a small hatchback Civic. As the hatchback version, CITY Hatchback and the new generation CITY (overseas version) are similar in the design of the first half, and the design from the C column is quite different. Compared with the straight exit window line, the collapse curve of CITY Hatchback is higher.

In the rear part of the car, the new car adopts the design of ducktail. In addition, the taillight source is also LED, and a multi-level taillight group similar to the new flying degree is used to increase the degree of refinement.

Although the patent map did not publish the interior, but with reference to the overseas version, the new car's three-spoke steering wheel highlights the smell of movement, and the 8-inch central control screen also makes the car more scientific and technological.

Since entering the Chinese market in 2006, Fengfan has become the benchmark model of the compact market by virtue of its accurate positioning and product strength. At its peak, the sales of Fengfan also exceeded 10,000, and at that time it was absolutely like a miraculous car. In 2017, Fengfan sold 64000 vehicles, 48000 in 2018 and only 23000 in 2019. In this regard, after Fengfan's sales fell year by year, Honda quietly stopped production, perhaps because the Fengfan model has not been replaced for a long time, and the product competitiveness has been very low.

With the exposure of the patent map of the new Fengfan, it means that the Fengfan model may return, and the new car will return with the hatchback, resulting in differential competition in the market. At that time, the new Fengfan will continue to realize the "two-car strategy" for the Honda brand on behalf of Guangzhou Automobile Honda and Dongfeng Honda Henderson, and continue to seize the entry compact model market.
