On March 2, the car quality Network released the latest monthly top 30 list of vehicle complaints. According to the statistics of the car quality Network, a total of 5006 valid complaints from car owners were received in February 2021, down 38.1% from the previous month and up 65.5% from the same period last year. Taken together, the number of complaints about cars that entered the list this month declined significantly due to the impact of the Spring Festival holiday in February.

In the previous ten lists, German brands entered the list with four models, including Tuguan L, Tanyue, Maiteng and Audi A4L. The number of complaints against Tuguan L and Tan Yue was 69 and 68 respectively, and the number of complaints from Mai Teng reached 51. From the point of view of the complaints, they mainly focus on the two major components of the gearbox and the engine, including engine exhaust failure, gearbox abnormal noise, gearbox computer version failure and so on.

In recent months, Volkswagen brands including Maiteng, Suiteng, Tanyue, Tuguan L and other models have been on the list for many months. these models are the main sales models of the Volkswagen brand and have a certain position in the car market and SUV market. In fact, the main components of the Volkswagen brand such as gearboxes and engines have become a clich é. If manufacturers do not propose relevant solutions, these models will still appear on the list in a short period of time.

In addition, there are four Japanese models, namely Toyota Camry, Leiling, Carola, Nissan Xuanyi and Honda Feido, which are also the best-selling models of various brands. Camry had 52 complaints that month, and although the number of complaints declined month-on-month, it still ranked third on the list with a relatively high number of complaints, continuing to lead other Japanese brands. The number of Xuanyi complaints was 42, and the main complaints were transmission setbacks and abnormal gearbox noise.

Honda Feido, Toyota Leiling and Carola all had 41 complaints that month, ranking seventh on the list. Carola and Leiling as sister models, their complaints are basically the same, mainly for gearbox setbacks and gearbox noise.

The other model is from the French brand Peugeot 408. Although the overall sales of Peugeot 408 is small, it has also appeared on the complaint list for many months, ranking fifth with 47 complaints in February. Oil burning and abnormal shock absorber noise are hot issues of consumer complaints.

Let's take a look at the models other than the top ten. Autonomous models such as Chery Tiger 8, Chery Arize 5, Chuanqi GS4, Geely Colour and Changan Escape appeared on the list. Among them, Chery Tiger 8 entered the list for the third month in a row, and the ranking rose sharply. "engine cooling system failure" has become its new typical complaint problem.

The above is the list of the top 30 models complained about in February 2021, which reveals some problems in product quality control and provides some reference value for consumers to buy cars to a certain extent. Of course, the car with high sales volume and large quantity is also more likely to be on the list, so the model on the list does not mean poor quality control, more importantly, it reflects the objective problems of the model.
