AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/05 Report--
Qijun, as Nissan's best-selling SUV model, has not been replaced for seven years since the cash model was launched, resulting in a significant decline in the competitiveness of the model, which has been far away from Toyota and Honda. However, as the new models have been released overseas, domestic models will be replaced.
Recently, auto media blogger extreme Speed partner-Jacky released a set of unfake live shots of a new domestic Qijun model on its social media, and this is the first time that the domestic Qijun model has been exposed in China.
Prior to the news, Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd. has planned the model P33A (new Qijun) project, with an estimated annual production capacity of 250000 vehicles, which means that a new domestic Qijun is coming. It is reported that the new model will be officially off-line around May-July 2021 and is expected to go on sale as soon as the third quarter. The exposure of non-fake models in the domestic market means that the launch of the model will be planned.
From the live picture of this exposure, the new car is consistent with Nissan's new Rogue (American version of Qijun). The front face still uses a family V-motion design, but uses split headlights, the upper light group integrates turn signal and daytime driving light belt, while the lower light group is the far / near light area, while the fog lamp is placed on both sides of the lower air intake. In addition, the new Qijun uses a trapezoidal middle net, and there are holes for combing air flow on both sides of the lamp group below.
The overall shape of the side is similar to that of the cash model, but the overall model is adjusted to be longer and fuller. It is reported that the new Qijun in the body size will also be lengthened. The exposed pictures show that the new Qijun will adopt a five-frame wheel design, which is consistent with the previously released official picture. Compared with the front face design, the new Qijun in the tail is relatively low-key, using a more flat and narrow design, is expected to replace the LED light source.
In addition, the "Dongfeng Nissan" logo visible from the rear means that the appearance of the new domestic Qijun will be almost unchanged from the overseas version. As for the power part, from the rear mark, the bottom left is marked with "300Nm" and "4X4-i". According to the naming rules of the tail mark, the new car may adopt a variable compression ratio turbocharged engine with a maximum torque of 300Nm and match the four-wheel drive system, but news about the number of engines and other new cars still need to be officially released.
However, the blogger said that the new Qijun will carry a three-cylinder engine, including the initial top model will also be equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder engine.
As for interior decoration, although it has not been exposed, it is speculated that it will continue overseas design. The central control and the instrument are designed with two large screens, in which the full liquid crystal instrument uses a brand-new UI design and can display navigation guidelines. On the other hand, the central control screen adopts a suspended design, and there are still physical keys at the bottom of the screen. In addition, the gear handle has also been changed to an electronic one, and the function of driving mode switching can be seen at the rear knob.
Nissan Qijun, as one of the three major Japanese brands, can maintain more than 10,000 sales in the domestic market for a long time, but also because of its continuous release of terminal concessions and the reputation of Japanese brands. with the launch of the new model, it may be able to restore market confidence for Nissan. After all, the current Nissan, in the case of many models entering the end of the product, has been far away from Honda and Toyota, the two major Japanese brands.
Due to the current market recognition of the three-cylinder model is not high, if the new car is really equipped with a three-cylinder engine, Nissan's performance in China may gradually drift away. According to the data, Toyota completed 1.8 million sales in China in 2020, an increase of 10.9% compared with the same period last year, while Honda sold 1.627 million vehicles, up 4.7% from the same period last year. Nissan brand only fell 5.8% to 1.4567 million vehicles for the whole year, it is conceivable that Nissan brand has been the top seller in China for many years in a row.
