Generally speaking, when new cars are launched without any changes, they are upgraded to enhance market competitiveness, but the new C6 model launched by Dongfeng Citroen is the opposite.

According to the current Citroen C6 (launched in December 2019), a total of seven models have been launched, with 1.6T and 1.8T engines respectively. While the new model is listed as an entry-level comfortable model of 1.8T, it is worth noting that the price of the entry-level model is higher than that of the original luxury model, an increase of 5900 yuan.

At the same time, the configuration has also been reduced, including the removal of the front and rear front side air curtains, front parking radar, 12.3in full LCD instruments, leather seats, co-driver electric seats, navigation + road conditions Carlife, car networking, 11 speakers (changed to 6 speakers), LED headlights (halogen lamps) and front row multi-layer sound insulation glass and so on, it can be said that a lot of practical configuration has been reduced.

This configuration is not even as good as the 1.6T luxury model. If the price of 226800 yuan is still four airbags, 8-inch central control screen and halogen headlamps, it is obviously not in line with this price, and I do not know what Dongfeng Citroen should have intended. Some netizens believe that the manufacturer may be in order to launch this model, through comparison, to improve the performance-to-price ratio of other models.

After Dongfeng Citroen stopped production of the C5 model, the C6 served as the medium-sized car market under the brand. However, this is a B+ model, which has lost a certain degree of competitiveness in the market because of its higher pricing and positioning, not to mention that it is a French car with a lower and lower brand in China, if it cannot be given a greater discount, it is obviously difficult to improve its own competitiveness. After all, the higher price is enough to deter many consumers, even if it is a good car.

Because this is a new model, it is no different from other models in appearance. The headlights are integrated with the intake grille, and the bottom penetrating heat dissipation opening shape still belongs to the B-class car with high recognition. Similarly, the new model size is 4980mm*1858mm*1475mm, wheelbase is 2900mm, basically better than the current best-selling B-class models on the market, which is also one of its advantages.

In terms of interior decoration, the biggest feature of Citroen C6 comfort Edition is the black design style of the interior decoration, which looks relatively simple as a whole, such as liquid crystal dashboard, three-format multi-function steering wheel, central control touch screen and electronic file lever.

On the power side, Citroen C6 comfort Edition continues to carry 1.8T turbocharged engine, transmission matching 8-speed manual self-integrated transmission, maximum power 211Ps, peak torque 300Nm.

Data show that DPCA sold 10033 vehicles in the first two months, an increase of 126.53% over the same period last year. Among them, Citroen C6 sold only 191 vehicles in January this year, which is at the end of the domestic car market.
