In fact, the collapse of BAIC new energy has been going on for more than a year. In 2020, BAIC New Energy has accumulated sales of 25914 vehicles and cumulative production of 13224 vehicles, which is much lower than sales volume. BAIC New Energy has been on its way to inventory.

To this end, BAIC New Energy launched a new high-end brand ARCFOX, which competes with Tesla, Xiaopeng, NIO and other car brands. However, it is inexplicable that the ARCFOX α T has not become a best-selling model, and only 767 ARCFOX α T vehicles have been sold in the three months after its launch.

At present, BAIC Langu has put almost all its development focus on the ARCFOX brand. For the smooth development of ARCFOX, BAIC Langu has raised 5.5 billion yuan for the research and development of high-end models of ARCFOX brand and the construction of sales network. According to BAIC's plan, the ARCFOX brand plans to open more than 60 stores and move into more than 40 cities this year.

Recently, the news of cross-border car building by technology companies has been particularly hot, including Baidu and Foxconn, as well as high-end brands of traditional car companies such as Changan, SAIC, Great Wall and Dongfeng. In this environment, the track of the domestic high-end new energy market has become more and more "narrow".

So, is there still a chance for BAIC new energy? Industry insiders said that if traditional car companies launch high-end new energy brands, if they are unable to carry out revolutionary innovation in strategy, management, technology and other aspects, and do not pay enough attention to their own system, then it is difficult to achieve transformation through high-end brands. Some experts said that BAIC independent plate has many years of development experience, if the ARCFOX brand completely get rid of the traditional independent brand image, strengthen scientific and technological innovation and product strength, there may be a glimmer of chance.

As for how to achieve this goal, Liu Yu said that BAIC Langu, a state-owned enterprise, should learn and transform from private enterprises and the new power of car-making, focus on the C-end market and focus on customers.

In fact, the annual sales target of 12000 vehicles is not much, but this goal is particularly difficult and very difficult for BAIC Blue Valley. After all, the cumulative sales in three months are less than 1000 vehicles, and if you want to achieve sales of 12000 vehicles in 12 months, it means that BAIC Blue Valley must break the situation.
