On the evening of January 18, the navigator, Lincoln's third domestic model, was officially put on the market, with a total of five new models, with a price range of 32.88-478800 yuan. At the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show, the new domestic navigator made its debut. The new car is the third domestic model of the Lincoln brand in China, positioning the medium-sized SUV, between adventurers and pilots.

There is no big change in the appearance of domestic navigators and overseas version models, the front face still continues the design style of Lincoln brand, the front enclosure is different from the imported navigators currently on sale, and horizontal penetrating chrome strips are added to the bottom at the same time. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the body are 4849/1934/1693mm and wheelbase 2850mm respectively, which is consistent with overseas models.

Compared with the appearance, the new car has a localized design on the interior, and its interior layout is very similar to that of the flier, and the new model looks younger than the old model. It is worth mentioning that domestic navigators are equipped with a 12.8-inch horizontal central control display screen, which looks a bit "out of place".

In terms of power, the new navigator is equipped with 2.0T four-cylinder engine and 2.7T V6 six-cylinder engine, with maximum power of 248hp (180kW) and 325hp (237KW), and peak torque of 390N ·m and 500N ·m, respectively. In terms of transmission, all are equipped with eight-speed manual self-integrated gearbox, with the exception of the lowest equipped models, other models provide a four-wheel drive system.

The price range of the imported Lincoln navigator is 40.88-518800, while that of the domestic navigator is 3278-478800 yuan. Compared with the overseas version, the domestic lowest-equipped model is reduced by 80, 000 yuan and the highest-equipped model by 40, 000 yuan. The price is lower than the overseas version of the model, but its interior is localized and updated, and the power is also improved.

Domestic navigators locate medium-sized SUV, and the main competitors are Audi Q5L (38.78-498000), BMW X3 (38.98-479800), Mercedes-Benz GLCs (39.78-587800). Although navigators have obvious advantages in price, these models all have a certain position in the luxury SUV market.

LINCOLN is a luxury car brand owned by Ford Motor. It was founded in 1917 by Henry Leland. The brand name is named after President Abraham Lincoln of the United States. In 2014, Lincoln China held a press conference in Shanghai to announce the official entry of its luxury SUV MKC and luxury sedan MKZ into the mainland market. Statistics show that Lincoln sold 11630, 32558, 54124, 55315 and 46629 cars respectively in China from 2015 to 2019. It can be said that although Lincoln is one of the luxury brands, it still does not have a big advantage over Cadillac, Lexus and other brands.

Statistics show that Lincoln sold 61761 cars in China in 2020, the highest since Lincoln entered China, mainly because it partnered with Changan Automobile to realize localization and launched two models, the adventurer and the flier. Thanks to the launch of two domestic new cars, the Lincoln brand achieved sales growth during the year.

As a new domestic model, navigator is between adventurers and pilots, and there are more new choices for consumers to buy cars. After listing, navigators are expected to become another best-selling model after fliers. However, at present, the development pace of Lincoln brand in China is not stable, there is still a large gap between brand awareness, reputation and head luxury brand, and the follow-up development is still uncertain.
