Before that, Great Wall Motor applied to register the exclusive LOGO of "TANK", which is the fifth brand LOGO of Great Wall Automobile after Harvard, WEY, Gun and Euler. According to the registration information of the State intellectual property Trademark Office, Great Wall Motor has applied for a new brand LOGO. From the LOGO look, the overall resemblance to the Marvel hero Iron Man helmet, except for the top covered with the letter T, the lower part printed with the letter "TANK", according to the Chinese translation of the meaning of tank, and the visual effect gives people a hard-line feeling, is obviously tailor-made for the tank series.

According to a number of media reports, Great Wall plans to make the tank brand independent, becoming the fifth sub-brand after Harvard, WEY, Gun and Euler. However, the media speculation is only speculation, the official has not publicly stated that the tank series will be independent into a brand. Li Ruifeng, chief marketing officer of the WEY brand, once made it clear: the tank 300 is too strong, which leads to the weakening of the WEY brand, just as only Harvard does not know the Great Wall, when a single brand is strong enough, people often ignore the parent brand.

It is understood that the independent tank brand will be responsible for the product development of the cross-country SUV, which is expected to be launched this year, and the new car may be put into production at the Great Wall Jingmen production base in October. In addition, the tank series will also launch tank 900 models next year. At present, Great Wall Motor has applied to register related trademarks, including Tank 600, Tank 900, Tank Optimus Prime, Tank Iron Man and so on.

However, independent brand means that it takes a lot of financial, material and human resources, the market end and sales side can be said to be interdependent, once something goes wrong, it will cause great pressure on the mainframe factory. At present, there is only one type of tank 300 in the tank series, and it still takes a long time for tank 600 and tank 900 to be put on the market, while the space of hard off-road vehicles is relatively narrow in China, but the performance-to-price ratio of tank 300 is better than that of other joint venture brands. therefore, it can still be favored by the market in the short term, but it is necessary to "think twice before you leap" whether it can support the operation of the whole brand in the long run.
