As the "Lao sheng" of the compact SUV, Dongfeng Nissan Qijun is about to usher in a new model. Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released the declaration map and information of the new car, and recently some media have photographed the real car of the new Dongfeng Nissan Qijun, with adjustments in the appearance and interior and a 1.5T engine on the power. it is scheduled to make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show and will officially go on sale in July.

The new Qijun continues the design language of the overseas version of the model in appearance, the front face still uses the family-style V-Motion design, but the forward gas grille is larger than the cash, the headlights on both sides are split design, there is little difference between the side of the body and the cash model, and the taillights echo each other with the headlights. According to the declaration information, the new Qijun body length, width and height are 4681/1840/1730mm, wheelbase 2706mm, the body size has been improved compared with the current model.

The interior layout of domestic models is exposed for the first time. From the espionage photos exposed, domestic Qijun continues the design style of overseas models, matching three-frame steering wheel, suspended central control screen and brand-new shift lever. What is different is that domestic Qijun has added a lot of physical buttons at the bottom of the central control screen to support dual-zone automatic air conditioning, seat heating and other functions. Although some of the interior details are camouflaged, you can still see the design style. the new car is equipped with a 12.3inch full LCD dashboard, a suspended central control screen and a 10.8inch head-up display system (HUD).

In terms of power, the domestic Qijun carries a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 300N ·m, which is matched by a new generation of CVT gearbox. For comparison, the current Qijun is equipped with 2.0L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engines, with maximum power of 111kw and 133kw, and peak torque of 194Nm and 239Nm.

Qijun is a best-selling model under Nissan. Although six years have passed since the launch of the previous generation of models, Nissan Qijun still has a certain position in the SUV market, with monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles, mainly competing with Toyota RAV4 Rongfang and Honda CR-V.

Overall, the new Qijun has made adjustments in appearance, interior and power, and is younger, but perhaps the most controversial thing is its 1.5T three-cylinder engine, although the power torque is higher than the current model, but the acceptance of three-cylinder engines by domestic consumers is generally not high. In this case, Nissan insists on launching three-cylinder cars. I am afraid its later market performance is not optimistic. Of course, if the discount at the terminal is big enough, there are still consumers who choose to compromise.

Data show that Nissan brand sales of 1058634 vehicles in 2020, of which Qijun is 175177, second only to Xuanyi.
