Three seconds after the hands left the steering wheel, the driver took over the vehicle again and twisted the steering wheel hard to push out the auxiliary steering. As the vehicle collided with the second street tree to the right, the speed was 18km per hour. Tesla also mentioned that when the front and bottom of the vehicle collide with narrow objects such as roadsides or brick posts at low speed, the front airbag may not pop off in order to avoid unnecessary injury to passengers.

Whether or not it is because it did not hit the airbag trigger point, or the system misjudgment led to a sudden turn, the most powerful explanation is the background data. However, the owner mentioned that the video of the car recorder at the time of the incident disappeared.
