AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)04/02 Report--

A few days ago, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. It is decided to recall a total of 191981 domestic A6L 40TFSI and A6L 45TFSI vehicles produced from February 8, 2018 to July 27, 2020 from April 16, 2021.

For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to problems in the manufacturing process of the heat insulation plate suppliers, some of the heat insulation panels may be poorly pressed and deformed layer by layer, and individual heat insulation plates may be locally overlapped with the exhaust pipe after being used for a period of time, resulting in heated carbonization. In extreme cases, the EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) in the middle layer is in full contact with oxygen, which may lead to a fire in the heat insulation plate and a safety hazard.

FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. will entrust Audi authorized dealers to replace the optimized heat insulation for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
