Overall, the new logo does not have too many surprises, only flattened to make it more in line with the trend of the times. Mingjue is an independent brand of SAIC, but its birthplace is not in China. According to the data, MG, whose full name is Morris Garages, was founded in Oxford, England in 1924. For the British full name market in the last century, the development history of the MG brand can be said to be an important part of the development of the British and global automobile industry.

After the birth of the MG brand, it soon became the most popular car brand in Britain, but due to development reasons, it was left out in the cold and even on the verge of bankruptcy. The MG brand formed a bond with the Chinese market in 2005, when Nanjing Automobile Group successfully acquired the British MG Rover Motor Company and its engine production division, and changed its name to Nanjing Mingjue Automobile Co., Ltd. In 2007, SAIC acquired Nanjing Automobile Group and became the new owner of the MG brand. At present, the MG brand has MG5, MG6, MG pilot, MGZS and other models, in addition to domestic production and sales, overseas markets also have layout, such as the United Kingdom, Australia and so on.

The figures show that Mingjue sold 140000 vehicles (including overseas markets) in 2017, 270000 in 2018, 290000 in 2019, and still increased to 310000 in 2020 due to the impact of the epidemic. It can be said that the performance of Mingjue in domestic and foreign markets is quite considerable.

It is worth mentioning that, as a brand born in the last century, Mingjue has a plan to build a super car. SAIC Mingjue officially launched the Cyber Quanxin sub-brand at the strategy launch held a few days ago. Mingjue will have two series: the Chao series and the Cyber series. Among them, cash on sale products will be attributed to the trend series, the latest launch of the Cyber series will focus on young, sports.

Mingjue also unveiled the Cyberster, the first concept car in the Cyber series, which is another pure electric coupe that MG may actually mass produce after the MG TF coupe is discontinued. From the official picture, the Cyberster concept car front face inherits MG's classic round lamp + slender grille design, coupled with natural concave grille, eye-catching front shovel lower lip and so on, to build a unique front face shape.

According to an official announcement, Mingjue Cyberster will launch crowdfunding at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 19, 2021, when crowdfunding of 50 million yuan will be used to determine whether the Cyberster is actually in mass production.

In recent years, it is not uncommon for automobile brands to change their brands. Volkswagen, Geely, Nissan, Harvard and MG brothers brand Roewe have all launched the new LOGO, which is often accompanied by a new strategic layout of their brands.
