Mitsubishi, an early brand to enter the domestic market, has been sold in China for many years with its Outlander model, but as the current model has not been replaced for seven years and has entered the end of the product, officials will replace the model. According to the latest news, domestic Mitsubishi Outlander will be put into production this year.

A few days ago, the "online car market" exposed the news about the new European Blue made in Germany. Documents show that GAC-Mitsubishi has previously carried out a new model modification project, with a total investment of 38.3 million yuan. According to the revamped product structure, the GAC-Mitsubishi plant will cut its existing annual production capacity of 110000 SUV vehicles, resulting in an additional 100000 vehicles and 10, 000 DG and LE models.

Although there is no knowledge of the GAC-Mitsubishi DG model, the new Outlander will be officially launched in 2022, according to GAC-Mitsubishi executives in an interview in 2020. Combined with the annual production capacity of 100000 vehicles and the corresponding production time, DG is likely to be a new domestic Orlande model, after all, there are only three SUV models in GAC-Mitsubishi, and most of the recent revelations point to Olander models.

As a replacement model, the appearance of the new Outlander has been greatly adjusted, which has changed a lot compared with the current model, but it can also be seen that the new car is somewhat similar to Nissan's new Qijun. It is reported that precisely because the car is a new car launched by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, the new generation of Outlander and Nissan Qijun are based on the same platform. In addition, the new car was launched at the Okazaki factory in Aichi Prefecture, Japan on February 8, and was first listed in the United States, Canada and other markets in April, and then launched one after another in various regions of the world.

In appearance, the new car uses an X-shaped front grille and split headlights to form a new family design, the headlight group adopts a split design, the far and near lights are matrix style, and the daylight shape is sharp and narrow. There is also a separate fog lamp area under the design, which is thicker and harder than the old model as a whole.

In terms of body size, the new Outlander is 4680/1860/1747mm in length, width and height, and its wheelbase is 2705mm, in which the wheelbase increases from 2669mm to 2705mm.

The interior layout adopts a simple design style, the center console adopts T-shaped layout, the air conditioning outlet adopts penetrating design, and is equipped with 9-inch multimedia display screen and 12.3-inch LCD dashboard. In addition, the interior of the new car uses popular design elements, including suspended multimedia displays, small-size electronic handles and hidden air-conditioning vents.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with the same PR25DD 2.5L engine as the new Qijun, with a maximum power of 184PS, a peak torque of 245N ·m, and a transmission matching CVT transmission. In addition, the new car will also offer two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models for consumers to choose from.

As the main selling model of GAC-Mitsubishi, the first-generation Olander, which was first introduced and manufactured from Mitsubishi in Beijing in Beijing in January 2004, has been launched in the Chinese market after three vehicle upgrades. However, GAC-Mitsubishi was only established in May 2012, and it was not until 2015 that Mitsubishi achieved domestic sales of the Outlander, while also officially attracting medium-term changes to the third-generation models. With the replacement of the current new models, it means that the third generation of European blue German models will also come next year.

Although it is a Japanese brand, Mitsubishi Motors' domestic development is very weak compared with Toyota, Honda and Nissan. At present, GAC-Mitsubishi has only three models on sale, namely, the Outlander, Jinxuan and Yige.
