It is understood that the new car is based on the CXperience concept car and is a new medium-sized cross-border car under the Citroen brand. The new car will be officially unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show and delivered at the end of the year.

From the appearance, Citroen C5X and overseas version of C4 is basically the same, daytime driving lights for the "V" shape, with the front face to form an "X" shape. In addition, the upper and lower lamp belt is connected to the brand LOGO, and the logo extends to both sides at the same time. From the side point of view, the side shape of the new car is relatively smooth, the roof line begins to sink slightly from the A column, and the raised waistline on the side of the new car is matched with the black eyebrows below, which makes the new car look more dynamic. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4805/1865/1505mm and the wheelbase is 2785mm.

The new car does not have a fully open interior layout, but you can see through the window glass that the new car uses a circumferential cockpit layout, equipped with a suspended central control screen and a full liquid crystal dashboard to increase the sense of technology. In addition, the traditional shift rod is also replaced with a small push rod, and there is a driving mode selection button behind the shift mechanism.

As for power, the new car did not release specific information and is expected to carry a 1.6T four-cylinder turbocharged engine. As a reference, the 1.6T engine has a maximum power of 125kW and a peak torque of 260N ·m, which is matched by a 6-speed manual integrated transmission. It is understood that the new car will be produced at Citroen's Chengdu plant and sold to the global market.

It is understood that as early as 2001, Dragon Motor registered the "Versailles" trademark. In other words, Citroen C5X named "Versailles" has nothing to do with the online buzzword "Versailles Literature", "Versailles" is the capital of Evelyn province in Paris region of France, is one of the most visited historical places in Europe. Citroen named the C5X "Versailles" in line with its naming rules, after Citroen named a number of models Elysee, Senna, Picasso and so on.

As we all know, the design of French car dealers has always been relatively unique, and so is the overall design of the Citroen C5X. The cross-border style is amazing enough, but it is not easy for consumers to pay for it. In terms of price, the Citroen C5X and Peugeot 508L are built on the EMP2 platform, and the expected price is not much different.

Citroen C5X has a certain topic in naming, the design and configuration of the new car also has certain advantages, and its performance in the end market will ultimately depend on the price. However, although Citroen C5X has a good comprehensive competitiveness, the existence of the Citroen brand in the market is not strong, which is the biggest weakness of C5X whether it can be recognized by consumers. Data show that DPCA sold 7506 vehicles in March, compared with a cumulative sales of 17539 from January to March.
