On April 13, Changan Ford Mustang Mach-E officially launched four models with a price range of 26.50-379900 yuan. The new car is the first pure electric model of Ford's electric vehicle division and is produced by Changan Ford.

Judging from the appearance of the new car, Ford Mustang Mach-E continues the design of overseas models and makes minor adjustments to the Chinese market. The closed front face uses a smoked middle grid, the middle "Mustang" LOGO can be lit, and the three-segment LED daytime driving is similar to the Mustang sports car. From the side, the body is designed with a slip-back design, the rearview mirror, windows and roof are painted in black, and the door is designed with no door handle. In terms of size, the length, width and height are 4739/1881/1621mm, and the wheelbase is 2984mm.

Ford Mustang Mach-E also continues the interior design of overseas versions, with a 15.5inch vertical central control screen and a 10.2inch full LCD dashboard to create a sense of technology inside the car. Unlike Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E retains a large number of physical buttons.

In terms of power, Ford Mustang Mach-E provides rear drive and all-drive drive, in which the maximum power of the standard continued version is 198kw, the peak torque is 415N ·m, and the range is 470km; the maximum power of the long-lasting rear drive version is 210kW, the peak torque is 415N ·m, and the mileage is 600km. The maximum power of the long-lasting four-wheel-drive version reaches 260kW, the peak torque is 565N ·m, and the mileage is 540km. In terms of mileage, the new car uses BYD's 811 ternary lithium battery with a range of 470km-600km.

As we all know, Ford Mustang is a civilian sports car owned by Ford Motor. It launched the first production version of Mustang in 1964 and has a history of more than half a century. It is worth mentioning that although Ford Mustang will be made in China, it is not named "Mustang" because Sichuan Mustang Motor Co., Ltd. sued Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. in February 2016 for its Chinese name (Ford Mustang) and won the lawsuit in court on suspicion of trademark infringement. Ford Mustang naturally cannot use the "Mustang" logo in China.

Tesla Model Y, Ford's main Mustang Mach-E competitor, currently sells the Model Y entry model for 347900 yuan. The data show that the cumulative sales of Model Y from January to March in 2021 were 16422, of which 10151 were sold in March. Judging from the pricing and product performance of Ford Mustang Mach-E, the accumulation of technology and mileage are more advantageous than Model Y, but it is far less intelligent than Tesla. Of course, although Mustang Mach-E 's competitor Model Y, but its impact is the fuel vehicle market, it needs to use product power to attract consumers.

It is understood that Ford Mustang Mach-E will not be sold in the existing Ford distribution channels, but will use direct marketing to build electric vehicle sales network. In addition, the quick-charging equipment of Xilai will be available to Ford Mustang Mach-E users.
