It is reported that the first exchange power station in cooperation between Xilai and Sinopec covers an area of 60 square meters and has about 4 parking spaces. The second generation replacement power station is adopted, which has 13 battery reserves and supports 312 power changes per day. 39 sensors are deployed internally. Combined with cloud, it has the characteristics of automatic parking and automatic power change. the time for a single power change is 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

Sinopec said that the first exchange station for cooperation between the two sides was chosen at the Chaoying gas station, first because it has suitable idle space, and second, because it is located on the southeast fourth Ring Road, where there are many houses nearby and close to car users. It is a useful exploration for the location and layout of the exchange power station. According to the plan, Sinopec will have 5000 charging stations by 2025, in order to consolidate its leading position in the transportation energy market.

It can be seen that the cooperation between the two sides is a combination of complementary advantages, so that gas stations are also power stations, new energy and traditional energy from opposition to unity. It not only enables Sinopec to realize the transformation from traditional oil sales to "oil, gas, hydrogen and electricity" integrated energy service providers in the face of the transformation and development trend of the energy industry and automobile industry. Data show that Sinopec, founded in July 1983, is the largest supplier of refined oil and petrochemical products in China, the second largest oil and gas producer, the first largest oil refining company and the third largest chemical company in the world, and the second largest in the total number of gas stations in the world. there are more than 30,000 gas stations in the country.

However, under the trend of the transformation of the industry environment, Sinopec has also begun to change its strategy. According to data, Sinopec's net profit in 2020 was 32.924 billion yuan, down 42.9% from the previous year, but the non-oil business has continued to grow, with a profit of 3.74 billion yuan for the whole year, up 15.6% from the same period last year. Therefore, the overall layout of charging business by making use of the advantages of many outlets across the country is bound to bring certain strategic significance to Sinopec.

For NIO, power exchange is a very important part of its energy replenishment system. This time, the first second generation power station in NIO was built at the Sinopec gas station in Beijing (201). According to the plan, by the end of 2021, the total number of exchange stations in China will be increased to 500,300 overcharging stations and 10000 destination charging piles will be built. Therefore, the realization of power exchange in more areas can not only increase the demand of NIO models, but also improve the car experience of customers through Sinopec's signboard.

Therefore, this cooperation is obviously a win-win situation, on the one hand, it can promote the transformation of Sinopec; on the other hand, it can also enable Xilai to build and exchange power stations based on more gas stations, greatly reducing construction and operating costs, which is conducive to the rapid expansion of the exchange stations.
