On April 27th, Skyworth held a communication meeting with the theme of "the Future of Skyworth Smart cars" as scheduled, and officially announced that Timi Motors had changed its name to Skyworth Automobile, using the English name "Skyworth". Why is it as scheduled, because as early as the 13th of this month, Skyworth Group has announced that it will hold a communication meeting on April 27 to announce that Skyworth Group may enter the automotive industry to build Skyworth smart cars. And now the official announcement also means that Skyworth Group officially opened the road of "building cars".

According to the official picture of Skyworth ET5 currently posted on the official website, you can see that the front face of the new car has been hung with the Skyworth brand. But the whole car is still the previous Timi ET5, which also shows that Skyworth ET5 is actually Timi ET5, which has been listed before. From the picture, we can see that the two cars can be said to be exactly the same, and even the front LOGO has been used.

It has been reported that the tail mark of the new car will be changed to Skyworth's English name "Skyworth". Now it seems that this has indeed been achieved from the new car, and it is not clear whether some of the configurations have been upgraded.

Although Skyworth currently has only one new car, Huang Hongsheng said that Skyworth has invested 10 billion yuan to establish a dual-use system of Skyworth cars, and in the future it will invest another 30 billion yuan to achieve the goal of the top 10 in the world and achieve a market capitalization of more than 300 billion yuan.

At the same time, Skyworth Automotive has developed a "2x 4N" product strategy. Work together through the two major pure electric platforms of BE and CE; it is expected to launch at least four new pure electric models of Skyworth between 2020 and 2025, and form an all-electric product matrix dominated by pure electric models and supplemented by hybrid and other energy-powered models in the future.

It is understood that Timi ET5 is actually the first product under Timi Motors, which will be launched in October 2020. After the subsidy, the price is 15.28-198800 yuan, the car is located in the pure electric medium-sized SUV, the new car launches a total of four models according to different configurations, and the pure electric mileage has two versions: 410km and 520km.

Because Skyworth ET5 maintains the shape of Timi ET5, the front face still uses a closed design, while adding a honeycomb decorative network to embellishment, the penetrating design connects the headlights on both sides, and the bumper area below uses an exaggerated inner concave treatment, which broadens the visual ratio of the front. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4698/1908/1696mm and wheelbase 2800mm respectively.

The new car uses a symmetrical central control layout in the interior design, with a 12.3-inch full liquid crystal meter and a 12.8-inch central display screen. In terms of power, the maximum power of the new car is 150kw, the peak torque is 320N ·m, and NEDC mileage is available in 410km and 520km versions.

Perhaps because the birth of Timi's first model did not bring obvious sales, Skyworth planned to change Timi into Skyworth, in order to re-raise its popularity. But unfortunately from the Skyworth product model point of view, it does not have a particularly prominent bright spot, whether in the appearance, interior decoration or power, can only be regarded as a regular product. Therefore, as a latecomer, Skyworth's future development road is undoubtedly full of infinite challenges.

According to the data, Jiangsu Tianmei Automobile Co., Ltd. was established in November 2019, and the legal representative is Huang Hongsheng. Huang Hongsheng is also the founder of Skyworth Group, former Skyworth Group and Chairman of Skyworth Holdings.

Kaiwo New Energy Automobile Group Co., Ltd., which was first established in 2011, based on Nanjing Jinlong, began to lay out the new energy vehicle market, and with the passenger car access qualification approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2017, Tianmei Automobile was finally born. equivalent to Skyworth, which is renamed today, it is still 100% controlled by Kaiwo New Energy Automobile Group Co., Ltd.

It is reported that this is March this year, Kaiwo New Energy Automobile Group and Skyworth Group signed a trademark transfer agreement, Kaiwo New Energy Automobile Group formally obtained the transfer of 11 trademarks, including the Skyworth / Skyworth trademark. After the completion of the trademark transfer, Skyworth Automobile officially became a smart car brand under Kaiwo New Energy Automobile Group.
