It is worth mentioning that just yesterday, Tesla America also announced price increases, Model 3 standard battery upgrade version and long battery life version, Model Y long battery life version of the price increase of $500 (about 3215 yuan). According to statistics, this is Tesla's fourth price increase in the United States in the past two months for the Model 3 standard battery upgrade and long-range version.

In China, this is Tesla's first price increase for the Model 3 this year and the second price increase for a domestic Tesla model this year. On March 24, Tesla China announced that the price of the domestic Model Y model was raised by 8000 yuan, of which the long-term version rose from 339,900 yuan to 347,900 yuan, and the high-performance version rose from 369,900 yuan to 377,900 yuan.

As for the reasons for the price increase, officials said it was mainly affected by cost fluctuations. Industry insiders have previously said that manufacturing costs are mainly affected by chip shortages and rising prices of battery raw materials. After entering 2021, the problem of lack of core in the global automobile industry is becoming more and more serious, including Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota and other automobile enterprises have announced production reduction or shutdown one after another, Tesla, one of the American automobile enterprises, is no exception. Tesla's price increase has a lot to do with its strong market performance, as its products are already in short supply. Tesla's second-quarter production capacity has been sold out, although only a month later, but second-quarter production is clearly unable to meet the growth trend of orders, according to US technology media Electrek. Tesla's sales in China have also set records. Tesla Model 3 sales reached 52858 units in the first quarter, and the cumulative sales of the newly launched Model Y reached 16422 units, according to the Federation.

According to Tesla's first-quarter earnings report, the domestic parts rate of Shanghai Super Factory has reached more than 90%, or because the localization rate of supply chain continues to increase, the price increase of domestic models is much lower than that of other markets.

Tesla sales performance in April has attracted much attention!
