Although the US market is Tesla's largest single market, the gap between the US market and the Chinese market is narrowing.

It is worth mentioning that according to media reports, according to Tesla's filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Tesla has repaid a $614 million loan related to the expenses of the Shanghai superfactory, and the loan contract has been terminated. According to previous media reports, when Tesla built the factory in Shanghai, he signed a "gambling agreement" with the Shanghai government, requiring Tesla to complete an investment of 14 billion yuan in five years; 2.23 billion yuan in annual tax after 2023; and all spare parts must be made in China.

Some media think that Tesla chooses to pay off his debts at this time and is suspected of withdrawing from China. However, judging from Tesla's first-quarter financial results, the importance of the Chinese market to Tesla is self-evident, accounting for 29% of Tesla's total global revenue. If Tesla chooses to quit, it will be a major blow to him. Although Tesla is currently at the forefront of the storm, there is no reason to withdraw from China for this reason.
