AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)05/14 Report--
According to the latest retail sales statistics of the Federation of passengers, sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market reached 1.609 million in April, up 12.4% from a year earlier and down 8.3% from the previous month. Of this total, car sales were 770000, up 10.9% from the same period last year, down 11.4% from the previous month, up 21.1% from the same period last year, and down 14.1% from the previous year. 748000 SUV sales were up 13.0% from the same period last year and 4.0% from the previous year.
From the list of car / SUV/MPV retail sales published by the Federation of passengers, as the epidemic still had a great impact on the market in the same period last year, most models still showed growth, but many models declined. Judging from the list of cars, German and Japanese brands are evenly split.
In terms of car segments, Xuanyi remained the leader in the car sector in April, up 17.1 per cent from a year earlier to 45725 vehicles, while sales of Lang Yi models fell sharply this month, falling 11.2 per cent to 30879 vehicles, a gap of 15000 vehicles.
In addition to Xuanyi, Japanese models also appeared on the list, including Carola, Leiling, Civic, Accord and Camry, with Carola and Accord falling 6.1% and 8.4% respectively compared with the same period last year. Lei Ling and Camry performed slightly better, with the former up 16.4 per cent year-on-year to 19510 and the latter up 35.3 per cent to 15975.
German models the new Bora, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A6L and Suiteng led the sales, of which the new Bora and Suiteng declined, with sales of 21744 and 16008 respectively. BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A6L luxury models all grew, with the BMW 3-Series up 39.9%.
In terms of other models, only Buick Yinglang was on the list, with a year-on-year increase of 24.2% slightly better than other models, with 28443 vehicles ranking third on the list. The previously strong Tesla Model 3 fell off the list, selling just 6264 vehicles in April. Independent brands only Acer MINI and Geely Dihao on the list, of which Dihao sales fell 20.2%, second only to Volkswagen Suiteng, due to the arrival of a new generation of Dihao, it is speculated that Dihao models will still be greatly affected in the short term.
Let's take a look at the SUV list. There has been a big change in the ranking of the top 15 SUV models this month. The most intuitive change is that Honda CR-V surpassed Harvard H6 to win the SUV championship.
Honda's CR-V sales rose sharply in April, up 77.9% from a year earlier to 29302 vehicles, outpacing the Harvard H6 and Changan CS75. In addition to Honda CR-V, Honda XR-V, Colorado and Haoying are also very strong. Honda XR-V increased 49.0% year-on-year to 17208 vehicles, making it into the top five of the list. Colorful Intelligence increased 104.0% year-on-year to 16418 vehicles, and Haoying increased 25.6% to 15808 vehicles.
Let's take a look at Harvard H6 and Changan CS75. The performance of Harvard H6 in the SUV market has been obvious to all, maintaining a dominant position for many years in a row, but it failed to meet expectations in April. Although it grew by 9.6% year-on-year, it fell by 24.6% month-on-month. In the face of Honda XR-V, which grew by 77.9%, Harvard H6 also had no choice but to change ownership. Entering 2021, Harvard H6 has been overtaken by Changan CS75 and Honda CR-V, which is enough to see the degree of competition in the SUV market.
Other Japanese models mainly include Toyota RAV4, Qijun and Xiaoke, with Toyota RAV4 up 20.3 per cent, Xiaoke up 14.1 per cent and Qijun down 4.6 per cent. In these three models, the most controversial and concerned is undoubtedly Qijun, a new generation of Qijun will be officially listed in July, April Qijun sales decline speculation is also affected by this, but the new Qijun carrying a 1.5T three-cylinder engine, after the listing of the old model will be delisted, as Nissan's best-selling SUV model, you can imagine what the market performance will be after its listing.
German models Tuguan L, Audi Q5L, Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X3 all appeared on the list, with Audi Q5L up 44.2% to 15713, Mercedes-Benz GLC up 17.9% to 15170, and BMW X3 up 21.4% to 14475.
The performance of independent brands is relatively average this month, with the exception of Harvard H6 and Changan CS75, only Boyue and BYD Song entered the top 15, while Ruihu 8, which had a relatively strong sales performance, fell out of the list.
Finally, let's take a look at the MPV model. Wuling Hongguang and Buick GL8 sold more than 10,000 models in April, of which Wuling Hongguang fell 16.8% year-on-year to 18869 and Buick GL8 increased 85.2% to 16950. Wuling Hongguang's sales in the market have been declining for a long time, while Buick GL8 growth is at the forefront. Buick GL8 surpasses Wuling Hongguang in the long run. In addition, Wuling Capgemini sold 6144 vehicles, Chuanqi M8 sold 6008 vehicles, and Ericsson and Fashion both sold more than 5000 vehicles.
On the whole, most models can achieve growth, but there are also some models whose decline exceeds the market level. In the car market, Tesla Model 3 fell off the list, with monthly sales of 6264 vehicles directly outside the 30th place. In the SUV market, joint ventures performed relatively well this month, with Honda's CR-V surpassing models such as the Harvard H6 and only three independent SUV on the list. In the MPV market, Wuling Hongguang tends to be saturated in the market, and consumers' demand for MPV is no longer limited to pulling goods, but more spiritual consumption.
