The styling of the new car basically continues the design style of overseas models, but it also makes minor adjustments to the aesthetics of the domestic market. The front face of the new car is modeled with a waterfall grille, and the split headlight group is cancelled and replaced with a sharper polygon design style. The side lines of the bright Pro are relatively smooth, the back-slipping body of the cash has not been abandoned, and the slightly raised duck tail makes the whole body look more athletic.

In terms of size, the length, width and height are 4753/1788/1469mm, and the wheelbase is 2730mm. Compared with the overseas version, the overall size has increased, in which the length has increased 64mm, the wheelbase has increased 44mm. It is precisely because of the increase in size that the new generation of Ming Rui has added the suffix "Pro" to the naming, which means lengthening.

The interior of the new car also continues the design style of the overseas version, but the unique two-frame steering wheel of the overseas version is not introduced, but adopts the traditional three-frame style. In addition, the new car is equipped with a 12.1-inch touch LCD central control screen, a 10.3-inch LCD meter, wireless charging and other functions for the first time, and the shift lever is similar to golf and Audi A3.

In terms of power, the new bright Pro cancels the 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and is replaced with a 1.4T turbocharged engine with a maximum power 110kW and a maximum torque 250N.m, matched with a seven-speed double-clutch transmission.

The Mingrui, once a popular model under SAIC Skoda, went on sale in China in June 2007. With its atmospheric appearance and solid workmanship, it was sought after by consumers soon after it was put on the market and became a popular model in the joint venture car market. Before 2019, Mingrui had launched several replacement models, and its performance in the market was commendable. After entering 2019, with the decline of Skoda brand's brand power in China, Ming Rui's sales also dropped sharply. Especially after entering 2020, Mingrui's sales have entered a low ebb, with monthly sales of about 3000 vehicles, compared with a cumulative sales of only 26110 vehicles last year.

At present, SAIC Skoda's models for sale include car bright sharp, fast send, Xin moving, Xin Rui, SUV Kodiak, Komick, Krook and so on. The sales performance of these models in the market is not optimistic.

According to the data, Skoda brand worldwide sold 1004800 vehicles in 2020, down 19.1% from the same period last year. China, as Skoda's largest single market, accumulated sales of 173000 vehicles in 2020, down 38.7% from the same period last year. Skoda sold 249600 vehicles worldwide in the first quarter of this year, up 7.2% from a year earlier, while the Chinese market was only 26300, down 9.3% from a year earlier, and its performance in the domestic market further deteriorated.

Therefore, the listing of a new generation of bright sharp may change the key to Skoda's decline, but the current compact car market competition is fierce, joint venture models Nissan Xuanyi, Volkswagen Langyi, Toyota Carola / Leiling, Honda Civic, etc., independent models Changan Yi, Geely Xingrui and so on all have high competitive pressure, the all-new generation of bright sharp Pro has indeed improved its competitiveness, but the market performance is still not optimistic.
