It is based on the Volkswagen MQB platform and adopts the latest design language of the Volkswagen family in appearance. The interior of the headlamp group uses a LED light source, the daily lamp is connected to the chromium-plated strip of the intake grille, and the interior of the grille is decorated with similar wavy strips. From the point of view of the tail, the range draws lessons from the design of Audi Q8, the taillight adopts through-type all-LED light source, and is equipped with a larger size rear spoiler. In the interior part, the new car follows the latest central control layout of Volkswagen, the full liquid crystal dashboard and the suspended central control multimedia touch screen are connected to the screen design, and the three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and the lever-type electronic shift mechanism match each other. In the interior layout, the new car will be equipped with a standard 6-seat version, and all models can be equipped with a 2-seat, 3-seat, 2-seat layout.

In terms of power, FAW-Volkswagen range will provide 2.0T and 2.5T engines, and 2.0T engines will provide high and low power versions, with maximum power of 186 horsepower and 220 horsepower respectively, and peak torque of 320 Nm and 350 Nm respectively. The maximum power of 2.5T engine is 220KW and the maximum torque is as high as 500N / m. As a medium and large SUV, FAW-Volkswagen's main competitors include SAIC-Volkswagen Tuen, Ford Explorer, Buick Anke Flag and so on. For reference, Tuen sold 4438 vehicles in April, 2347 for explorers and 2150 for Anke Banner. Generally speaking, in the medium and large SUV market segment, there are not too many core products, and the sales of most models are relatively general.

In other words, the medium and large SUV market is an undeveloped market, and few independent brands are involved in this field at present. For example, the sales of Hafer H9, Red Flag HS7, Pentium T99 and other models in the market are also very ordinary, while joint venture brands have more advantages. Therefore, if the joint venture brand wants to continue to suppress its own brand, the 300000-yuan medium and large SUV appears to be very critical. For FAW-Volkswagen, the launch of range can preempt Tu'ang and explorers. The market of Ankeqi and other models can also fill the gap in the market of medium and large SUV.
