In terms of sales volume, FAW Pentium set a new target: "to achieve annual sales of 300000 vehicles in 2023 and 600000 vehicles in 2025, challenging the class of one million vehicles."

Sui Zhongjian, general manager of FAW Pentium car Co., Ltd., said that between 2023 and 2025, more than two new models will be launched each year to complete the layout of eight traditional energy products and five new energy products.

According to the development blueprint of the 14th five-year Plan issued by FAW Pentium, we can see that FAW Pentium will accelerate the completion of the mainstream market product layout, forming a full coverage of cars, SUV and MPV products.

According to relevant data, FAW Pentium sold 8653 vehicles wholesale from January to April, while FAW Pentium produced 62336 vehicles in 2020. The new target will reach sales of 600000 vehicles by 2025, which will also mean that FAW Pentium will increase production and sales nearly tenfold in the next four years.

The public information shows that in order to achieve this goal, FAW Pentium has set up an industrial fund of 10 billion yuan in the first phase in conjunction with FAW Equity, Changfa Group and Shenzhen Business holding Group in addition to expanding in the private market. The first project agreed by the fund is to invest in Pentium's customized electric vehicle project. In the future, the products of FAW Red Flag and Pentium brand will be priced at 150000 yuan. Pentium's goal is the middle and high end of the market. In order to tie in with this plan, FAW Group also issued a support plan of 2.4 billion yuan for Pentium.

As for whether FAW Pentium can reach sales of 600000 vehicles in 2025, this remains to be verified. after all, the existence of Pentium brand in the domestic automobile market is still relatively weak, and there are almost no models at the top of the sales list. in the increasingly fierce market competition of automobile companies, Pentium does not have a more unique technical force. So it is not difficult to see that it will not be easy to achieve its sales target of 600000 vehicles by 2025.
