What is the particle trap of a car? Particle trap, also known as gasoline engine particle trap (Gasoline Particulate Filter, hereinafter referred to as "GPF"), its function is to capture carbon particles and other small particles before they enter the atmosphere, so as to meet national or local emission standards. It is understood that GPF can capture more than 90% of the soot produced by the engine. After the adsorption amount of particles reaches a certain degree, it can burn at high speed and become harmless carbon dioxide emissions.

To put it simply, GPF is equivalent to wearing a mask to the engine exhaust system to filter the tiny particles in the exhaust. When it reaches a certain stock, it will automatically burn the captured particles, thus achieving cycle work. Since the implementation of the national six emission standards, FAW-Volkswagen has chosen to install GPF for this product in order to meet the emission requirements.

As Mr. Li said, the instructions for exploring Yue also clearly stated: "in normal driving, the filter will clean itself. If it cannot be cleaned by itself (such as continuous short-distance driving), the filter will accumulate carbon and need to be cleaned (regenerated). In order to support the regeneration of the particle filter, the company recommends avoiding long-distance driving." However, from the perspective of car owners: this undoubtedly brings unnecessary trouble to car owners, because no one will often run the highway, and now most of them are urban cars. It is learned from many car owners that when many vehicles drive less than 10,000 kilometers, the vehicles are clogged with particle traps, and a number of car owners say they have cleaned up many times.

At present, most riders reflect that the current manufacturers do not fundamentally solve the problem, and only provide two solutions, one solution is to let the vehicle run at a certain high speed for dozens of minutes, that is, to run at a high speed for more than 80% for a period of time to eliminate the blockage and use the particles blocked by high temperature combustion. Most car owners think that the two plans of the manufacturer are unreasonable. It is understood that Tanyue is a SUV model launched by FAW-Volkswagen in 2018 after the compact SUV T-ROC. It is based on the Volkswagen MQB platform and is positioned as an urban middle-class family. Since the listing of Tanyue, it has been loved by a large number of consumers, with cumulative sales of 179400 vehicles in 2019. But by 2020, Tanyue's sales declined, with about 168500 vehicles, ranking 10th in the domestic SUV rankings. It is worth noting that in April 2021, Tanyue sold only 4515 vehicles.

For Tanyue, although earlier sales have been good, but the number of complaints has been high. Judging from the current sales data of Tan Yue, the sales of Tan Yue is showing a downward trend.
