A few days ago, GAC GROUP announced the sales for January 2019. Data show that GAC GROUP sold 209709 cars in January, down 0.21% from a year earlier.

From a brand point of view, GAC GROUP's best-selling brand is still its Japanese cars Guangzhou Auto Honda and Guangzhou Automobile Toyota, of which Guangzhou Automobile Honda's terminal sales in January were 73617, up only 1.61%. Achieved a substantial increase of 74.82%; GAC MOTOR's terminal sales in January were 55900, up 45.16% from a year earlier. The rest of GAC MOTOR's terminal sales in January were 33896, down 44.64% from a year earlier. GAC Fick's terminal sales in January were 7752, down 31.91% from a year earlier. After that, GAC-Mitsubishi, Honda and Guangzhou Automobile Hino sales fell 22.84%, 25.5% and 44.3%, respectively.

In terms of models, the Camry / a pair of engines, Leiling / a pair of engines, Ling Pai and other models led to the growth of GAC GROUP's overall car sales, with sales of 116162 vehicles, achieving a growth of 36.98%; the market performance of the MPV model was good, with sales of 8695 vehicles, an increase of 63% compared with the same period last year; while the SUV model encountered a "Waterloo", showing a downward trend of 29.28%.

Compared with December 2018, GAC GROUP suffered its first decline in the new year, with its dual "field" combinations (Honda and Toyota) still driving growth, but unable to save the decline in sales of other brands.

According to GAC GROUP statistics, in the first half of 2018, GAC GROUP, together with joint ventures and associated companies, achieved a total operating income of about 172.607 billion yuan, an increase of about 6.22% over the same period last year; the net profit belonging to the owner of the parent company was about 6.913 billion yuan, an increase of about 11.82% over the same period last year.

It is understood that GAC GROUP will launch a number of new energy models around new energy technology in the future, including power changes of cash models such as Chuanqi GA6 and GS8.
