Of course, Xuanyi sales account for half of Dongfeng Nissan, once the sales decline, then the blow to Dongfeng Nissan is also huge.

In addition, Teana sold 9807 units in May, with a cumulative sales of 57658 from January to May, compared with 5309 in that month and 25312 from January to May. Nissan sold 11363 SUV models, with a cumulative sales of 66029.

As for Nissan Qijun, terminal sales in April were 14336, with cumulative sales of 57450 from January to April. The new generation of Nissan Qijun, one of the best-selling models of Dongfeng Nissan, will go on sale in July with adjustments in appearance, interior and power, which will be powered by a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine and a new generation of CVT gearbox.

Qichen sold 6355 vehicles in May, down 17.59% from the same period last year, including 2228 Qichen stars, 1201 Qichen T60 and 815 Qichen EV series.

If you look at Dongfeng Nissan alone, Nissan sells more than a joint venture between Toyota and Honda in China. However, Nissan has fewer best-selling models and is more aggressive in its product process than Toyota and Honda. Generally speaking, Dongfeng Nissan mainly depends on the Xuanyi model, which is the main product that can compete with Honda and Nissan for a long time, but the success is also Xuanyi, the failure is also Xuanyi, subject to the Xuanyi model, Qijun carrying a three-cylinder engine has an uncertain future, and the Qichen brand is also in the doldrums for a long time. A few days ago, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the Administration of defective Automobile products recall and the measures for the implementation of defective Automobile products recall regulations. The details are as follows:

(1) from June 5, 2021, a total of 23641 seventh-generation Dongfeng Nissan Teana and New Loulan cars produced from September 8, 2020 to November 5, 2020 will be recalled; (2) from June 30, 2021, some domestic Infiniti Q50L and QX50 cars produced from August 19, 2020 to November 3, 2020 will be recalled, totaling 4977.

The reason for the recall is that the hardness of the front wheel steering knuckle and rear axle seat parts of some vehicles within the recall range does not meet the requirements due to insufficient heat treatment. In extreme cases, the rear axle seat of the front wheel steering knuckle and rear wheel may be deformed due to the impact of external forces and crack after being used for a long time, resulting in the inability of the vehicle to drive or the wheel falling off, resulting in safety risks.

In view of the above defects, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge and replace the front wheel steering knuckle or rear wheel rear axle seat of the products belonging to the risk batch, in order to eliminate safety risks.

In addition, from June 3, 2021, some 2020 Qichen Star and 2021 Qichen T90 cars produced by Dongfeng Qichen brand from September 22, 2020 to December 11, 2020 will be recalled, totaling 4405.

The reason for the recall is that the welding strength of the engine high pressure fuel pump flange is insufficient due to the production of the supplier. After fatigue and durability, the flange may break, resulting in the failure of the high-pressure fuel pump and insufficient fuel pressure, resulting in engine flameout while the vehicle is running, and there is a safety hidden danger.

In view of the above defects, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will check the batch number of the high-pressure fuel pump for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, and replace the risky batches with qualified high-pressure fuel pumps to eliminate safety risks.
