The new NX has a significantly stronger sense of technology than the old model, which cancels a large number of physical buttons, uses a new three-frame steering wheel and a new shift lever, and adjusts the layout of the center console, which is equipped with a large central control screen and an LCD dashboard. Overall, the new Lexus NX has a stronger sense of technology than the old model, but there is still a lack of qualitative breakthrough in the overall design.

The current NX only provides 2.0L gasoline engine and 2.5L hybrid system, while the new generation of NX will introduce four power modes: fuel, hybrid, plug-in and pure electric, but not all of them are expected to be introduced into China. It is understood that the Lexus NX was first released in 2014, and today's model is the second-generation Lexus NX. Compared with the current model, the new Lexus NX adjusts the appearance and interior, and introduces a variety of different power systems for consumers to choose from.

According to the data, Lexus NX sold 39589 vehicles in China in 2018, 38456 in 2019 and 35230 in 2020, with the proportion of model sales falling to 15 per cent from 24 per cent in 2018. At present, the second-tier luxury Volvo XC60 has just been completely revamped in the medium term, Cadillac XT5 has a greater discount in the market, and after seven years of Lexus NX market share has declined for three consecutive years, it is worth watching whether the new generation of models can recover this situation.
