In terms of size, the declaration information shows that the length, width and height of the car body are 4674/1802/1415mm and the wheelbase is 2735mm. As a reference, the length, width and height of the current Civic hatchback version are 4658/1800/1416mm and the wheelbase is 2700mm. In other words, compared with the current model, the length and wheelbase of the new Civic have increased, which can bring a better space experience.

In terms of interior decoration, the new Civic experience adopts a new design, the new car will use a three-frame steering wheel, equipped with a suspended central control screen, and the air conditioning outlet adopts a penetrating design. In terms of power, according to the declaration information, the new domestic Civic will be equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine and will be available in both high and low power versions, with maximum power 95kw and 134kw, matched with a 6-gear manual or CVT continuously variable transmission.

According to previous reports, Guangzhou Auto Honda will also introduce this new model to deepen the implementation of the two-car strategy. In other words, with the introduction of the new Civic, the Civic will no longer be the exclusive resource of Dongfeng Honda. In the future, the Civic will have two versions of Dongfeng Honda and Guangzhou Automobile Honda in China.

According to previous reports, the Guangzhou Auto Honda plant has begun to introduce equipment and other adaptive modifications to the new Civic "sister version" model codenamed 2LN, and the new car will be put into production by the end of 2021 or early 2022 at the earliest, or will be named "Integra".

It is worth mentioning that Honda Integra is not a new product name, it has a long history of development. It is understood that in the 1980s, Honda launched a car called "Quint" series, but because this car does not have any sports performance, all aspects of performance is mediocre, resulting in very poor sales, Honda felt it was a pity to stop production of the Quint, so it was changed to Integra. Honda Integra has experienced four generations of products, and as the sedan market shrinks, Honda finally announced that it will stop selling Integra cars. From this point of view, the Honda Integra is still of self-evident significance to the development history of Honda. If Honda uses the Integra as the name of the GAC Honda Civic, it not only pays homage to the classic, but also shows the importance of this car to Honda.

Data show that Honda sold 668367 vehicles in China from January to May in 2021, of which Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 306983 vehicles. Dongfeng Honda has 361384 vehicles, among which Honda CR-V, XR-V, Accord, Haoying, colorful Zhi and Civic are the main selling models of Honda. Data show that Honda Civic accumulated sales of 70384 vehicles from January to May, with cash model sales flagging for a short time due to the imminent replacement.

The main competitors of the new Civic are Volkswagen Suiteng, Mazda 3 Uncella, Toyota Corolla and other models. The current Civic's market guidance price is 11.99-169900 yuan. Because it is a new generation model, coupled with a 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine, its price may start at 130000 yuan.
