Talking about the bright spot policy on the support of new energy vehicles in the "Policy" at the press conference, Yang Futao, deputy director of Jinan, said that the first is to increase investment in fixed assets of new energy vehicles. The investment projects of new energy vehicles and their key parts shall be rewarded in accordance with the standard of 20% of the equipment investment, and the reward amount of a single project shall not exceed 20 million yuan.

At present, the new energy vehicle industry has become a major trend. At present, the new energy vehicle market is still a policy-driven market. In 2019, the sales of new energy vehicles in China is 1.14 million, of which the sales of new energy passenger vehicles is 1 million. Xu Changming, a senior economist and deputy director of the State Information Center, said that 800000 of them are policy-driven, which is still a long way from being truly market-driven.

In July 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments officially issued the "Circular on carrying out New Energy vehicles to the Countryside". New energy vehicles have the advantages of green, intelligence and safety. The vast rural areas of our country have obvious advantages in the construction of charging facilities, and there is a huge demand and potential for the development of new energy vehicles. However, due to the poor consumption environment, poor circulation channels and other factors, the consumption potential of new energy vehicles for rural residents has not been effectively released. Carrying out this activity of going to the countryside is of great significance for unblocking the supply and demand cycle of the new energy vehicle market, promoting industrial development, guiding the upgrading of the travel mode of rural residents, and promoting the strategy of beautiful rural construction and rural revitalization.

On July 28, 2020, Chongqing Development and Reform Commission, together with Chongqing Finance Bureau and other departments, jointly issued a number of measures on stabilizing and expanding automobile consumption, which made it clear to increase the promotion and application of new energy vehicles in many aspects. In March 2020, the state announced that it would continue to strongly support the development of the new energy industry, and decided to extend the policy of subsidies and exemption from purchase tax for new energy vehicles for two years to December 31, 2022. On the whole, China's new energy vehicle industry is still in the early stages of development. If the future development of the industry can be combined with charging infrastructure construction, capital investment, national and local policies, the sales of new energy vehicles in China are expected to reach 5.3 million by 2025, when the number of new energy vehicles will be about 20 million.

According to the relevant data, the number of new energy vehicles in China's market is 4.92 million by the end of 2020. Wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 196000 in May 2021, an increase of 174.2 per cent over the same period last year and 6.7 per cent month-on-month. From January to May in 2021, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 967000 and 950000 respectively, an increase of 2.2 times over the same period last year. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 818000 and 794000 respectively, an increase of 2.6 times and 2.5 times respectively compared with the same period last year, while the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles completed 149000 and 156000 vehicles respectively, an increase of 1.1 times and 1.3 times respectively. Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the Federation of passengers, predicts that 2.2 million new energy passenger vehicles will be sold this year, and the entire new energy vehicle market may reach 2.5 million.
