Data show that Porsche Taycan officially launched on September 4, 2019, is Porsche's first pure electric sports car, the current price range is 88.8-1.798 million yuan. Taycan sold a total of 20015 vehicles in 2020 and 9072 in the first quarter of 2021, accounting for about 12.8 per cent of all Porsche models, according to official figures.

So far, at least a dozen Taycan owners have submitted complaints about power loss to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which recently launched an investigation into the problem. The agency found that power loss occurs when the 12-volt battery-the classic rectangular battery that powers accessories when the car is not running-runs out. If the 12-volt battery is powered off while the Taycan is running, the car will turn off the larger 800V battery pack, which powers the vehicle's electric motors and other critical systems.

Porsche said that although the problem does exist, the probability is 0.3%, that is, less than 43000 Taycan vehicles recalled may have the problem. However, due to safety concerns, Porsche will recall this model to solve the problem.
