However, Mitsubishi Electric also said that the problem was found in mid-June and has stopped shipping, but there is no problem with the safety performance of the products that have been delivered.

Takeshi Sugiyama, president of Mitsubishi Electric of Japan, resigned after the company was exposed by the media to test data fraud. Takeshi Sugiyama said at a press conference on July 2 that the company's organized fraud had damaged the company's reputation, for which he was responsible and felt the need to resign to enable the company to establish a new system and restore trust in Mitsubishi Electric.

Data show that Mitsubishi Electric was founded in 1921, is one of the Mitsubishi MITSUBISHI consortium. It has a wide range of products, including display products for individual consumers, mobile phones, kitchen appliances, car appliances, household appliances and air conditioning appliances.

This is not the first time Mitsubishi Electric has exposed a data fraud scandal in recent years. In May 2021, it was reported that Mitsubishi Electric had provided 2.15 million pieces of electrical equipment components that did not meet safety certification standards to a number of domestic and foreign customers; in December 2020, Mitsubishi Electric said that it had exported a large number of auto parts that did not meet local standards to European car companies and forged relevant documents for as long as three years.

Japanese corporate data fraud is becoming more and more serious. In February, dawning Brake Industry Co., Ltd., a Japanese auto parts supplier, released documents that found improper practices such as tampering with inspection data in brakes and parts made in domestic factories. In addition, the company has found such misconduct since at least 2001.

It is understood that dawning Brake Co., Ltd. is a supplier to Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and other car companies. According to the survey, about 114000 products contain falsified inspection data on brakes and their parts, and about 5000 of these parts fail to pass the quality standards agreed between dawning brake industry and its automakers' customers. these products have also entered 10 Japanese car companies, including Toyota and Nissan. In addition, dawning Brake has confirmed fraud at four factories in Japan, including tampering or fabricating inspection data, and such practices have existed since 2001.

In October 2020, Japan Junsheng Safety Systems, the largest supplier of automobile seat belts in Japan, was accused of "data tampering" on some seat belts that did not meet the standards in strength tests. These "substandard" products also entered Japanese car companies. In Japan alone, there may be 9 million substandard seat belts, involving about 2 million vehicles, including 10 Japanese car companies, including Toyota, Honda and Nissan. All use the products provided by the company.

As a country with industry as its development, the reliability of its industrial standards has been widely recognized internationally, but the frequent incidents of data fraud in recent years affect not only the trust and interests between enterprises, but also pose a threat to the safety of consumers.
