Dongfeng Motor Group released its latest sales figures on July 5, showing that it sold 232497 vehicles in June and 1424411 in the first half of the year. Among them, passenger car sales were 173238 in June and 1075261 in the first half of the year.

In terms of specific brands, Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Honda are still the main sales sources of Dongfeng Automobile Group, while DPCA is the only joint venture brand under Dongfeng Motor to achieve growth.

Dongfeng Nissan (including Qichen) sold 89078 vehicles in June, down 21.52% from a year earlier. Dongfeng Nissan's main selling models are Xuanyi, Teana, Xiaoke, Qijun, especially Nissan Xuanyi, using new and old in-house sales, a model to support the banner of the Nissan brand. It is understood that Dongfeng Nissan will be listed this year a new generation of Qijun, a new pure electric Ariya, the new product listing has a certain positive effect on the brand, of which the new Nissan Qijun started pre-sale at the end of last month, the pre-price is 199900 yuan and 219900 yuan respectively. It is understood that the new Nissan Qijun will be officially launched on July 30.

Dongfeng Infiniti, the high-end brand of Nissan, has lost its glory, with sales of 4454 vehicles in June, down 11.84 per cent from a year earlier. At present, Infiniti has only two domestic models, QX50 and Q50L, and its overall sales are very low, but due to the low overall sales last year affected by the epidemic, Infiniti's sales should increase this year.

Dongfeng Honda sold 54007 vehicles in June, down 30.19% from a year earlier. The main products are CR-V, XR-V and Civic. It is understood that the new generation of Civic will be listed this year. Honda has released the 11th Generation Civic before May Day, and the domestic version has also been declared in China. Judging from the espionage photos and declaration pictures exposed, the front face of the new Civic is equipped with a large air intake grille with a sharp shape on both sides of the front, and the overall design is similar to that of the Accord. Interior decoration is also similar to Accord, including suspended central control screen and through-type air conditioning outlet. In terms of power, the new car will use a high-and low-power 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 129hp and 182hp respectively. The whole system will match the CVT gearbox.

As one of the joint venture brands, DPCA has less weight within the group, but this month it has become the only growing joint venture brand. Data show that DPCA sold 7621 vehicles in June, up 21.94% from a year earlier. DPCA has two brands, Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen, and there are a lot of models under the brand, but the cumulative sales are less than that of a mainstream model in a month.

In April this year, Dongfeng Peugeot also brought the new Peugeot 5008 and the new Peugeot 4008 models, of which the Peugeot 5008 guidance price is 18.77-273700 yuan and the Peugeot 4008 is 16.97-243700 yuan. However, for now, the sales performance of these two models is still mediocre, failing to become Dongfeng Peugeot's popular models. As for Dongfeng Citroen, it will be launched in September, Citroen Versailles C5X, whether this model can turn the market around is still unknown, its pricing will be an important factor affecting sales.

Among the joint venture brands, among the sales of KuaiBao, only Dongfeng Yueda Kia has not released specific figures. At the Shanghai Auto Show, Dongfeng Yueda Kia launched a new brand logo and brought a number of new products such as Zhirun Ace, the fourth generation Jiahua, Kia EV6 and so on. Although Kia's sales in the Chinese market are very mediocre, it is worth looking forward to whether the new products can bring new driving force for development.

In terms of overall sales, Dongfeng Motor Group mainly relies on Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Honda, but both brands declined in June, and whether DPCA and Dongfeng Yueda Kia will become up-and-comers remains to be tested by the market. Of course, there is still a big gap between the two brands from their peak.
