Recently, a group of offline photos of FAW Toyota's new car, codenamed 941B, have been posted on the Internet, which is most likely to be a domestic Harrier, which is based on the TNGA-K platform and locates an entry-level five-seater medium-sized SUV, between RAV4 Rongfang and Crown Lufang.

According to the previously released official map, the appearance of the new Toyota Harrier uses a simple and sharp design style, with flat and narrow headlights connected to the upper central grille, supplemented by chrome strips, broadening the horizontal visual effect of the front face. The large trapezoidal intake grille in the center of the front face is the embodiment of Toyota's latest family design style, with cooling grooves on both sides.

On the side of the body, the new Toyota Harrier has the shadow of Lexus, and the very sloping D-pillar has a high degree of recognition. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4740/1855/1660mm and the wheelbase is 2690mm. In the rear section, the new Toyota Harrier is equipped with through-and-through taillights, and the inward-sunken taildoor design makes the rear bumper look wider. In addition, the new car is also equipped with two bilateral chrome-plated exhaust.

In the interior part, the new car in the official picture uses a black / brown interior panel design, and more colors are expected to be available in the future. The overall layout is very similar to the new RAV4.

On the power side, the new Toyota Harrier offers 2.0L fuel version and 2.5L hybrid version. Among them, the pure fuel version is equipped with 2.0L engine, maximum power 171hp, peak torque 207Nm, transmission matching CVT continuously variable transmission, and provides front-drive / four-wheel drive models. The hybrid version is equipped with a THS II hybrid system based on 2.5L engine, in which the front-drive version has a comprehensive maximum power of 218hp, while the four-wheel-drive model has a maximum comprehensive power of 222hp due to the increase of motor in the rear wheel. As Toyota is speeding up the domestic two-car layout, Harrier will be put under Toyota's two major domestic joint ventures in the future. According to previous information from the Ecological and Environmental Bureau, FAW Toyota's new car codenamed 941B will be put into production in November 2021, with a planned annual production capacity of 60,000 vehicles. Guangzhou Auto Toyota has also begun to build a model codenamed 942B, which is expected to start production in February 2022, with a planned annual production capacity of 60,000 vehicles.

From the previous enterprise new car launch planning, GAC Toyota Harrier version has been named Feng Landa. The FAW Toyota Harrier version has an internal code name of 941B, and the previously exposed model is named Hailia. According to the latest trademark registration application, FAW Toyota has submitted an application for a registered trademark called "Ruifang", meaning that the name may become the name of FAW Toyota's domestic Harrier model, although whether the car has adopted the name has not been officially confirmed.

This year is the year of Toyota's products. In the first half of the year, the brand-new A + class sedan Ling Shang / Asian Lion and the fourth generation Hanlanda have been launched one after another, and the Crown-Lu Fang will be listed in the second half of the year. In addition, domestic Harrier and domestic Sienna will also be put on the agenda. On June 20, Guangzhou Auto Toyota announced that its new MPV model SIENNA will be named "Sena", which is expected to be released this year and officially go on sale next year.
