In view of the defects, Great Wall will test the power batteries of the vehicles within the recall range free of charge, brush down the control strategy software that adapts to the working conditions, and replace the battery modules if necessary.

Chery recalled Chery Erize 5e because there may be consistent fluctuations in the assembly of parts in some vehicles' power batteries. After the vehicle has been used for a long time, the bottom of the vehicle is subjected to abnormal impact or severe bumpy impact, in extreme cases, the high voltage connection of the battery package system is loose, the local contact internal resistance is increased, and the components are overheated and the battery is baked when the high current is used. this may cause the battery heat to get out of control. In view of the defects, Chery will carry out free inspection and maintenance of the power batteries of the vehicles within the scope of the recall, and replace modules or battery packs free of charge if necessary.

In response to this large-scale recall, there are market rumors that the Chirui Areze 5e and Euler IQ are equipped with batteries provided by the Ningde era. Or affected by the news, the share price of Ningde era plunged on July 16, closing down 6.51% on the day. However, Ningde Times responded to the Daily Economic News on July 17: "the batteries carried by the Areze 5e and Euler IQ are not provided by Ningde Times."

Data show that Euler iQ is the first model launched by the Great Wall Euler brand, which went on sale on August 31, 2018, and the production time of this recall is from July 7, 2018, that is to say, this model has been recalled since it was launched. According to the recommended catalogue of 326 batches published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Euler iQ's battery suppliers include Ningde Times, Honeycomb Energy and Funeng Technology. So which brand battery is used in the recalled Euler iQ? According to the Daily Business News, the person in charge of Great Wall replied, "the batteries of the vehicles recalled this time are those supplied by Funeng Technology."

However, Funeng Technology denied it, and the company issued an announcement in response, "the company only supplies the modules carried by the recalled vehicles, and the reason for the recall is mainly due to the matching differences between the BMS software control strategy carried by the recalled vehicles and the power battery, which leads to a decline in battery performance after long-term continuous frequent and fast charging, which in extreme cases may lead to thermal runaway of the power battery, and there are certain safety risks. BMS is not the product and supply of our company. "

As for the battery supplier of Chery Erize 5e, it was previously reported that the battery supplier of the Erize 5e was Ningde Times, but Ningde Times denied that the batteries of the recalled models were Ningde Times. Chery has not publicly responded to the recall of the vehicle's battery configuration brand. What is certain, however, is that both the Euler iQ and the Eurezer 5e are equipped with ternary lithium batteries.
