It is understood that the tank 300 will be launched on December 17, 2020, with a total of four configured models with a price range of 17.58 yuan to 220000 yuan. The explorer who suspended the order is its entry-level model, with a price of 175800 yuan. The Tank 300 is a brand new model based on the "WEY Tank" platform and is positioned as a compact SUV that focuses on off-road. Since the launch of the tank 300, it has been in a state of hot sales. According to the news released by Great Wall Motor earlier, the number of orders for the tank 300 has exceeded 10,000 units after only half a month of pre-sale. Sales of tanks exceeded 33000 in the first half of this year.

It is understood that the urban version of the tank 300 will go on sale on July 24, and the new car will launch three models, "very stylish", "I see" and "must", all equipped with 2.0T engines. Compared with the off-road version, the shape of the city version has not changed much, but in terms of color, two new body colors and three configuration versions have been added, starting at 200000 yuan. As a version that is more focused on urban car scenarios, the new car has a lot of upgrades in intelligent driving assistance systems. The tank 300 city version will be equipped with quasi-L2 self-driving technology and more than 30 intelligent driving assistance systems. In terms of power, the new car is still equipped with a 2.0T engine, maximum power 167kW, peak torque of 387N ·m, and a traditional eight-speed automatic transmission. However, compared with the off-road version, the city version has removed the front and rear differential locks, and the four-wheel drive has changed from a time-sharing four-wheel drive on the cross-country version to a new intelligent four-wheel drive system.

According to the Great Wall Motor, it has earlier revealed that it has set a small goal of "challenging the world's first cross-country SUV market share" within five years for the tank 300, which is already independent of the WEY brand. It plans to launch five new products in three years, achieve the target of 100000 this year and hit 350000 and 500000 by 2023 and 2025. With the launch of the urban version of the tank 300, it will also boost sales of the tank 300 model.
