When this problem occurs, the powertrain will stop working, resulting in the loss of power of the vehicle. If the vehicle is driving in complex traffic conditions such as highways, it will increase the risk of vehicle collision.

In view of the above defects, Porsche (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers of the Porsche brand to update the software of power electronic devices (Power electronics) and motor electronic devices (DME) for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

Porsche will recall 94 imported 2018-2021 Cayenne series cars made between December 5, 2017 and February 10, 2021 from August 16, 2011. the recall is due to the failure of assembly personnel to strictly follow the operating procedures and the possibility that the connecting bolts between the steering column and the steering gear may not be fastened at the correct torque during a specific period. As a result, the bolts may come loose during use, and in extreme cases, the steering column may be separated from the steering gear, resulting in vehicle handling performance may be limited or out of control, thus increasing the risk of collision. In view of the above defects, Porsche (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the recalled vehicles free of charge, replace the steering column fixing bolts and tighten the required torque to eliminate safety risks.
