AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)07/30 Report--
On July 30, the new generation of Dongfeng Nissan Qijun officially launched, the new car launched VC-Turbo Super variable engine 300 2WD and VC-Turbo Super variable engine 300 4WD, a total of eight models, with a price range of 181900 yuan to 262900 yuan. The price range of the current model is 18.88-273300 yuan, of which the 2.0L version is 18.88-207300 yuan, compared with the new Qijun with 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine.
The new Qijun continues the design language of the overseas version of the model in appearance, the front face still uses the family-style V-Motion design, but the forward gas grille is larger than the cash, the headlamp group on both sides uses the split design, and there is little difference between the side of the body and the cash model. The rear part of the new Qijun does not use the popular through taillight design, but has a good visual effect after being blackened. In terms of size, the new Qijun body length, width and height are 4681/1840/1730mm, wheelbase 2706mm, the body size has been improved compared with the current model, the new car still retains the 5-seat version and 7-seat version of the two layout options.
Domestic Qijun has redesigned the interior layout to match the three-frame steering wheel, suspended central control screen and 12.3-inch full LCD dashboard. The central multimedia display is also equipped with a functional control area with a combination of touch and physical buttons, with a new shift lever and knob type all-wheel drive mode choice, suspended central control screen, 12.3in full LCD dashboard and 10.8in HUD system, which can realize three screens linkage. At the same time, the new car is also equipped with new electronic gears, wireless charging, three-zone independent automatic air conditioning and other configurations.
Compared with the appearance and interior, the biggest change of the new Qijun is the power system. The new Qijun is equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 300N ·m, matched with a new generation of CVT gearbox. For comparison, the current Qijun is equipped with 2.0L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engines, with maximum power of 111kw and 133kw, and peak torque of 194Nm and 239Nm. It is understood that after the listing of the new Qijun, the old Qijun will be delisted at the same time, which means that consumers can no longer buy the four-cylinder Nissan Qijun.
Qijun (Nissan X-TRAIL) is a model launched by Nissan in Japan at the end of 2000. it is a very classic SUV, aimed at its competitors Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV, but its sales are always ahead of its competitors in the Japanese market. At that time, Qijun was sold in China as an import, and it was called the most suitable SUV for urban driving with Honda CRV, but the price of more than 300000 yuan deterred consumers because of the lack of domestic products.
In November 2008, Dongfeng Nissan Qijun was officially announced to go public, with a price range of 20.78-258800 yuan. Qijun's domestic products will not only further enrich Dongfeng Nissan's product line and form a product structure including small cars Liwei, compact car Qida, intermediate car Xuanyi, intermediate and advanced cars Teana, SUV Qijun, but also an important step in the layout of the SUV market.
At present, Qijun, as one of the best-selling models of Dongfeng Nissan, although seven years have passed since the launch of the last generation model, Nissan Qijun still has a certain position in the SUV market, with monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles. Nissan sold 81886 vehicles from January to June in 2021, including 11581 in June, according to the Federation of passengers.
Generally speaking, the new generation of models will experience a period of sales contraction in the early days of the market. after all, the new generation of models will significantly improve in terms of appearance, interior, power, configuration, etc., but judging from the sales of Nissan Qijun, the sales of the new generation models did not shrink significantly in the early days of the market, and the monthly sales remained at more than 10,000 vehicles.
Why did this happen? As a new generation of models, the new Qijun in the appearance. Interior decoration, power upgrading, although the power parameters have significantly increased compared with the previous generation of models, but the whole system is equipped with 1.5T three-cylinder engine, and consumers on the market are obviously resistant to the three-cylinder engine, compared with the power growth brought about by the new three-cylinder engine. Consumers still prefer to choose the "unshakable" four-cylinder engine.
However, Zhang Jihui, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Nissan Automobile sales Co., Ltd., said: "I hope consumers will not worry about three cylinders and four cylinders, just like space shuttles and Chinese satellites. That's not our major. I wish we could." Since we dare to launch this car, we are confident. "
In terms of sales volume, Qijun's main competitors are Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV, although Qijun basically sold more than 10,000 vehicles, but lost to Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV. Generally speaking, the launch price of the new generation of models is in line with expectations, and sales will also increase, but due to consumers' resistance to the three-cylinder engine, it has also brought a lot of uncertainty to the new car. In the long run, as a best-selling model under Dongfeng Nissan, Qijun is an important part of Dongfeng's daily production and sales. Once the new Qijun's sales are weak, then Dongfeng Nissan's sales will also be affected.
