(2) A total of 102179 Saab X35 cars were produced from April 7, 2016 to March 31, 2017.

The reason for the recall: due to material problems, under the extreme conditions of long-term high temperature exposure of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the internal bracket of the clock spring in the vehicle steering mechanism may be deformed at high temperature. when turning the steering wheel, the internal circuit will be curled and bent, resulting in the airbag fault light often on. When the fault light of the airbag is on and there is no timely maintenance, the vehicle will have the problem that the horn will not sound; if a collision occurs during the use of the vehicle, the airbag will not be able to eject according to the requirements and can not play the role of protecting drivers and passengers. There are hidden dangers.

Solution: Beijing Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the improved clock spring for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

It should be noted that the above recall activities were carried out in the context of the defect investigation initiated by the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. Affected by the investigation, Beijing Automobile Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to eliminate safety risks.

It is understood that the Saab X25 is the first A0-level SUV of the Saab brand of Beijing Automobile, which officially went on sale on December 12, 2015, with a price of 5.58-75800 yuan. The Saab X35, a small SUV under the Saab brand of Beijing Automobile, was officially launched on May 20, 2016 with a price ranging from 6.58 yuan to 88800 yuan. Figures show that Saab X25 and Saab X35 sold 81359 and 74182 vehicles in 2016, 26854 and 44288 in 2017, and 16352 and 26127 in 2018. It can be seen that the two cars reached their peak at the beginning of the sale, but then sales declined, and finally stopped production and sales.

In fact, with regard to the steering problem of the Saab X25 steering wheel, some car owners kept exposing the relevant faults as early as a few years ago, but the related failures continued to occur until the model was stopped production and sale. Based on this, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration launched a defect investigation, Saab X25 was passively recalled, and the problems of car owners were finally solved.
