Recently, Volvo Group once again adjusted the price of its pure electric version of XC40 to 286000 yuan. However, in March this year, Volvo XC40 pure electric version has already carried out a price adjustment, the price from 357000 to 299000 yuan. The pure electric version of XC40, priced at 299000 yuan at that time, included a "premium package" of "3 years of free basic maintenance, 3 years of free warranty, 3 years of free road rescue, 4 years of free media traffic and free basic traffic for life". But on the basis of the big price reduction, it still drives the growth of its sales. From January to June this year, Volvo sold only 232 pure electric versions of XC40, according to relevant data.

However, the battery life of the pure electric version of XC40 is low, which is one of the reasons why Volvo XC40 pure electric version does not sell well. Even if the price is now reduced to less than 300000, XC40 pure electric version still has to face domestic Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model 3 and other competition, from its brand or performance point of view, Volvo's pure tram XC40 does not have an advantage.

It is understood that the Volvo XC40 pure electric version will be available during the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show, when the official price is from 357000 yuan. The XC40 pure electric version is Volvo's first pure electric model, based on the electric transformation of the fuel model of the same name. The appearance of the pure electric version of XC40 is basically consistent with that of the gasoline version. The difference is that the pure electric version uses a closed middle net design, with a highly recognizable "Thor Hammer" headlamp group.

In terms of interior decoration, Volvo XC40 pure electric version and fuel version maintain the same minimalist style. In terms of Sandian, Volvo XC40 is equipped with 71kWh battery pack, the front and rear axles are equipped with a motor, the system comprehensive power 300Kw, the maximum torque is 660N ·m, 0-100km/h acceleration takes only 4.9s, and the official WLTP mileage reaches 420km.

Volvo is not alone in cutting the price of its pure electric models. As early as January, BMW was the first to officially cut the price of its electric models, such as the pioneering BMW iX3 from 509900 to 439900 and the BMW iX3 leading model from 469900 to 399900. However, after the price reduction, the sales of both the BMW iX3 and the XC40 pure electric version still did not improve much. And with the official decline of Tesla pure electric models, it also means that the competition in the new energy market will be more fierce.
