The Citroen Versailles C5X uses an asymmetrically shaped center console, a full LCD dashboard and a 12-inch suspended central control screen, but does not use the popular double screen design. In addition, the traditional shift rod is also replaced with a small push rod, and there is a driving mode selection button behind the shift mechanism. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.6T four-cylinder engine, maximum power 125kw, peak torque 260N ·m, matched by an eight-speed manual integrated transmission. In addition, the new car may launch plug-in hybrid models.

As we all know, the current legal brands are not easy in the domestic market. Data show that DPCA sold a total of 40558 cars in the first half of the year. DPCA owns two brands, Dongfeng Peugeot and Dongfeng Citroen, but its cumulative sales are less than those of a mainstream model.

Citroen currently has Citroen C6, Tianyi C5, C3-XR, C3L and other models on sale, but model sales are very worrying. In terms of June sales, only the Citroen C6 exceeded 1,000, while the Tianyi C5 and C3-XR were 800,185 and less than 100, respectively.

In recent years, French car companies have had a hard time in the domestic market, and their living space has been squeezed under the pressure of independent brands and mainstream joint venture brands. Therefore, in a sense, Citroen Versailles C5X can be seen as a "lifesaver", Citroen C5X has a certain topic in naming, new car design and configuration also have certain advantages. However, consumers will consider a variety of factors when buying cars. Although Citroen C5X has a good comprehensive competitiveness, the Citroen brand does not have a strong sense of existence in the market, which is also the biggest weakness of C5X to save the brand.
