According to the latest figures released by Changan Automobile on August 9, the group sold 164931 vehicles in July and 1378788 from January to July. Judging from the sales structure of Changan Automobile Group, the performance of self-owned brands is much better than that of joint ventures, which grew this month while Changan Mazda declined.

Changan Mazda suffered a double-digit decline this month. Data show that Changan Mazda sold 10005 vehicles in July, down 16.07 per cent from a year earlier. At present, Changan Mazda has four models on sale: CX-5, Onksera, CX-8 and CX-30. Mazda China figures show that Onksera sold 6700 vehicles in July and 1872 CX-5, while CX-8 and CX- sold less than 1000 in 30 months. At present, the sales of Changan Mazda are mainly maintained by Onksera, and once there is something wrong with the model, Changan Mazda will also have a subversive decline. It is understood that at the upcoming Chengdu Auto Show, Changan Mazda will launch CX-30, which is the first new energy car under Changan Mazda, and also the first new energy model launched by Mazda in China. As for sales performance, in the fuel version of CX-30 market performance in general, its pure electric version of the model is also expected to have a good market performance.

Changan Ford achieved double-digit growth this month. Data show that Changan Ford sold 26046 vehicles in July, up 19.88 from a year earlier. In fact, since the launch of the Ford China 2.0 program, Ford has launched new cars such as the Ruiji, the Explorer and the Ruijie PLUS, all of which have contributed to a significant improvement in Ford's sales in China, including Changan Ford's growth even in 2020, when the epidemic was affected. In the second half of the year, Changan Ford has also launched a number of new cars, such as the new Forrest, EVOS, Ruiji PHEV and so on, among which the Ford EVOS model has attracted much attention, which is regarded as the key product to maintain stability and breakthrough.

The performance of Changan independent brand is average. Specifically, Chongqing Changan sold 76195 vehicles, mainly producing UNI series models, CS55 and Yitou models. Hefei Changan sold 16280 vehicles, mainly producing CS75PLUS and other models. Hebei Chang'an sold 8588 vehicles in July, down 26.28% from a year earlier. From the sales of KuaiBao, we can see that the monthly sales performance of Changan independent brand is still relatively considerable, benefiting from the hot sales of Changan UNI series models, as well as CS75 and Yitou models.

At present, Changan Automobile has got rid of the loss of selling cars. According to the forecast of Changan Automobile's performance for the first half of 2021, the net profit attributable to the company's shareholders is expected to be 1.6 billion-1.9 billion yuan in the first half, down 26.98%-38.51% from the same period last year; net profit after deducting non-recurring profits and losses is 600-900 million yuan, an increase of 122.93%-134.39% over the same period last year. In other words, the car business alone can be profitable.
