Following the investigation of two senior executives of Shenlong Automobile on May 20 and June 4, several senior executives have recently been subject to disciplinary review and supervision investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law. According to the circular, according to the Discipline Inspection Committee of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. of the Communist Party of China, the Office of the Ombudsman of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. of the State Supervision Committee and the Xianning City Supervision Committee, Chen Xi, former vice president of marketing sales and minister of marketing department of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious violations of the law and is currently under supervision and investigation by the Xianning City Supervision Committee, and has been detained.

Qu Gang, former assistant director of marketing department of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., accepted disciplinary review and supervision investigation. Sun Yiwen, former head of marketing department of Dongfeng Citroen Brand Department of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., is under supervision and investigation. Among the three executives investigated, Chen Xi was the most senior. According to the data, Chen Xi joined Shenlong Automobile Company in 1995. From January 1997 to August 2002, he successively served as senior manager of Marketing Department and Commerce Department of Shenlong Company; later, he joined Dongfeng Citroen and successively served as Director of Sales Department, Director of Marketing Department and Minister of Service Spare Parts Department. In May 2011, Chen Xi was transferred to Dongfeng Peugeot and took over the post of sales minister. In March 2014, Chen Xi returned to Dongfeng Citroen as the general manager of Dongfeng Citroen brand.

In May 2016, Chen Xi officially joined Dongfeng Renault as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Marketing Department. At that time, Dongfeng Renault had only been established for more than two years. During his tenure, Dongfeng Renault achieved a substantial increase in sales volume, reaching a peak sales volume of 72,000 vehicles in 2017. In October 2018, Hong Hao took over Chen Xi as vice president of Dongfeng Renault Automobile, responsible for marketing, sales, after-sales service, channel management, system construction and other fields of Dongfeng Renault, while Chen Xi left Dongfeng System.

After leaving Dongfeng Renault, Chen Xi joined Bojun Automobile for a short time as vice president of marketing and sales of Bojun Automobile. In January 2020, Beidou Xingtong Company issued an announcement saying that due to the tight capital chain, the overall project of Bojun Automobile was in a state of shutdown. In March 2020, Chen Xi served as General Manager of Chery Automobile Xingtu Brand Marketing Center. It is not difficult to see from the resume that Chen Xi can be regarded as a "veteran" in the automobile industry, but it is such a "veteran" who has been investigated for suspected serious violations of the law. It is worth mentioning that two other executives, Qu Gang and Sun Yiwen, were also investigated after leaving office.

It is understood that Dongfeng Company has cracked down on internal violations of discipline, corruption and interests in recent months, and many senior personnel have been investigated one after another, and basically after leaving office for many years, among which Shenlong Automobile, one of Dongfeng's earliest joint venture companies, has become the "hardest hit area" of anti-corruption investigation. On April 9,2021, Zhang Yuguang, former Minister of Marketing Department of Dongfeng Citroen Brand Department of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., was investigated on suspicion of serious duty violation; on May 20,2021, Yang Ning, former Vice Minister of Marketing Department of Dongfeng Citroen Brand Department of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., was investigated on suspicion of serious duty violation; On June 4,2021, Dong Anyin, former vice minister of marketing department of Dongfeng Peugeot Brand Department of Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious duty violation and was under supervision and investigation by Chongyang County Supervision Committee of Xianning City, and was detained.

According to public information, since 2020, Dongfeng Motor has obviously increased its anti-corruption efforts, and has formed a conscious internal "corruption must be punished, corruption must be eliminated", and the investigation scope has also expanded from the core team to the upper and lower levels of the group.
